    Re: 997 facelift

Find it really something new! Somewhat special and you'll have to get used to the new look, but surely: different!

    Re: 997 facelift

That steering wheel is a lor better!

    Re: 997 facelift

I wonder what the top speed will be on the "S" with PDK

    293km/h~ w/6-Spd Manual on the current "S"

    My guess 300km/h ~ 305km/h

    Add Power-Kit 310km/h ~ 315km/h

The current X51 already does 300 km/h, so the standard S should be at least as fast. Regarding the powerkit, I doubt we'll see more than 305 km/h. That would seriously tick off many Turbo owners.

    Atleast, I hope they'd give us a 7,600rpm+ redline

The Specs tells about "18-inch Carrera IV wheel, 19-inch Carrera S II wheel".
...just like the wheels on the blue car???
I don't like it very much..
PS: I called this morning Porsche Italy to ask about Official News: the dealer confirmed me...nothing official 'til first week of June.

    Re: 997 facelift

yes they are the new 19" wheels - i heard they were like turbos but without the middle spoke....... they look fine to me not sure if i prefer the sportsdesign though..... decisions decisions!

    mmmhhh...
Having a better look they're not so bad...
I think Turbo wheels are the best wheels ever made
(but only in Porsche Turbo of course)

I really don't know which kind to choose...
    bah....decisions decisions

    Re: 997 facelift

i think there are only 2 new options which will be new standard for the S and non S variant..... which you can see in the photos above. Lets hope no wheel options get removed

To each his own on that of course.
Early-on there was a lot of push back on those wheels....and personally, if I had an in-bound Turbo, I'd change em out before she hit the streets.
    But, wheel preference is personal.
Only opin that counts is yours.

    Re: 997 facelift

    whats push back?

    Re: 997 facelift

I have a feeling that the GT2 wheels will be included as an option for the facelift.

Yes please ...... I would change the sport design on mine straight away....

    Re: 997 facelift

WOW just did a search for the GT2 wheels and they are lovely - has anyone got any good pictures of them? Why arent they available as an option?

Ouch! That's an ugly steering wheel, if I ever seen a bad one.

    Re: PDK Button Config???

Is that on a 911? Can anyone zoom in to read the numbers relating to the gear on the speedo - are there 7?

Wheel is from a interior shot of Panamera.
Could be a clue as to how the shift buttons may be configured

Re: HOT: Pictures from Facelift 997!!!!

Hey lars, I found your original pics on a dutch forum, claimed by autoscoops!
    http://images.google.nl/imgres?imgurl=ht...l%3Dnl%26sa%3DN

Re: HOT: Pictures from Facelift 997!!!!

Totally garish IMHO! On the other hand, better colour coordination + usual black/leather/carbon/aluminium packaging could dramatically change the situation

Re: HOT: Pictures from Facelift 997!!!!

Centre console and air vents look a bit Range Rover to me !

    Re: 997 facelift

    can anyone photoshop
    http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/6718/img3813su7ra0.th.jpg

    onto a meteor grey C2S?

    Re: 997 facelift

The dealer should have color swatches he can show you. Take those out into sunlight and the differences between Meteor and Slate should be very obvious. There was a post that talked about Slate being discontinued...

    Re: 997 facelift

sorry i meant the wheels of that photo onto a meteor to just get a rough idea if they suit it

    Re: 997 facelift

    Re: 997 facelift

    Cool shots Enzo .

    Re: 997 facelift

Is "Taxi Cream" a new official color?
