I ask one of my friends to take pictures of this car for me and post them on flickr during the VLN race before the 24hrs of Nurburgring. He said there were huge crowds surrounding this car like Brad and Angelina. Taking pictures were extremely difficult, and the Team kept push everyone back so they could get the car back in the pits. Needless to say, getting a photo was not easy and the auto spies type of photographers were out and about. He ended getting some crappy photos of people crowding arounds this car.

This car is suppose to be the Nurburgring King (unofficial 7:24 secs) and has aspirations to race in motor series like ALMS or GT1 in the Lemans series (everyone wants to be these days). I have a nagging suspicion that Lexus wants to see what the GTR Vspec can do before final release. Thats not easy being that this car is most likely a rear wheel drive system instead of the GTR fancy AWD ATTESA system.

Hopefully, Toyota did a better job on this Lexus than on their F1 cars...

Prototype, for a Prototype car no matter what R&D stage it's in to be put through the TOUGHEST 24hr race and survive some hiccups is a pretty good accomplishment. The 'Ring isn't the easy layout of Le Mans so it's the perfect test bed for such automobiles and the most demanding of any track.
As for the LF-A, it sounded pretty nice. Almost a toned down F1 motor with the slightest high pitch whine (in a good way). Not sure if the Japanese team was really pushing it or not but from what i observed the car was quick and very smooth. Probably helps that it had the Stealth Fighter style paint job for effect.
I find it weak that there was no GT-R in race trim of any kind for the race but instead the ever so cheesey 350Z.
