    As has happened before so many times thanks to the intrepid efforts of our well informed members here - we already knew this months in advance. But now its official. Enjoy.

    Although I like the new 20-spoke wheels, I'm still a bigger fan of the 5-spoke Sports Pack wheels. It's good to see that Aston finally made them a option for the Vantage.

    I prefer the old 19s, more sporty. But the 5 spoke one are really really nice.

    What would be nice is a cheap retrofit of the N400 engine improvements for the MY08...

    Here is a pic of the DBS style interior I got from MSN (They were the only "first drive" article that bothered to take pictures of the interior)

    The first drive articles CAR/MSN/autocar all indicate that the price has increased only a nominal 2500 GBP, which is almost negated by the fact that the 19" wheels are now fitted standard (which were a nearly 1500gbp option previously).

    This is much less than the previous rumour that there would be a 10%~ increase.

    I suspect that there won't be too many people buying this car (and MUCH less if there was a large increase in price), this is because the 08s and 07s remaining on the dealer forecourts for the last 3~ months were HEAVILY discounted, most people in the market are likely to have already picked up one of those discounted examples.

    Editing time expired on the previous post...

    Here is a high-res image of the previous pic - seems like they are stock photos , since autoexpress and MSN share the same photo.

    Updated dash definitely looks cluttered... newer isn't always better, but at least they aren't volvo parts anymore.

    Really a large shame the ECU slots into the dash and replaces the Sarah Maynard designed crystal starter button!

    Hate to keep dragging this thread up, since apparently not too many people care

    For those that do, Aston has updated their website with further information/pictures of the uprated Vantage.

    Lots of pics not seen in reviews and all the new information integrated in reading friendly format instead of the press release's boring, bullet technical stats.

    Center stack traded Volvo parts bin controls for the panel from a Sharp microwave even , it looks like . Agree that it seems overly fussy, not in keeping with the otherwise typically best in sports car class Aston interiors .

    Thanks for the kind words everyone

    I backed out of my N400 for earlier this month and it was promptly sold, so my dealer isn't too unhappy.

    Like some of you, I am placing an order for the MY09 soon so I am following the new developments with great interest!

    What is very interesting is totally different opinion about Sportshift...
    Car mag likes it. On the other hand Autocar hates it totally... EVO do not like it also(as you will see in next issue)...

    AM V8 has the same issue as Audi R8-their sequential manuals are NOT SOTA and since they will become obsolete pretty soon choice is pretty clear-good old manual...

    I agree- I had a E46 M3 SMG for 3 years and drove it in Auto mode 99% of the time. I got used to it after a couple months but those single clutch systems have their shortcomings that are integral to the design no matter how fast or smooth they get.

    There will always be a market for manuals, and for people that must go automatic, DSG is the future.

    Hey Tom, thanks for posting the piccies and keeping up-to-date with all the mag reviews. Can't get enough of it. Don't know if it's me but after initially hating the DBS-borrowed new interior, it's kinda grown on me a little bit.....maybe I'm just trying to console (no pun intended) myself that my new MY'09 will be every bit as flawless as I want it to be.....

    Totally agree with the fact that you drive the car one gear lower than you should, but as that's the way I always drive this car is perfect for me!
