If you had the choice of either, and you live in a country where it rains 60 days a week, which one would you go for? and which one you think will retain more value? I won't be tracking the car, and this is my 1st such Ferrari, besides an F355 in 1999, and a 365 GTC4 just last year... Thanks

Nick might be right, but I'd still take the Scud every time.
I remember the pics of your beautiful 365 GTC4. What happened to it, do you still have it or have you sold it?

the F142 will be introduced in paris 2009, i.e. delivery early 2010 for the berlinetta... the spider will follow and be delivered early 2011... so that's out of the question... as for the F149, i AM GREATLY DISAPPOINTED... don't see it as a true ferrari... more like a Benz SL or maserati... VERY DISAPPOINTED with the design... honestly?? the car ain't for posing... posing in such a car around here can do me more harm than good... on the other hand, i can drive it hard late at night or early sunday mornings... and it's the exclusivety of the scud and its rawness that is appealing to me... plus the fact that I got it at probably the lowest MSRP in the world, in USD, and i can resell it a year later and turn a profit... but still, a 430 spider makes more sense for lebanon... and an LP560 spider (when out), would even make more sense! I'm just worried of not being able to make the most out of a scud around here...

I may be speaking for only myself but...I suspect that 99% of the drivers overestimate their driving ability. I highly doubt that the average or above-average driver here can push the limits of a F430 Spider. So to say only the Scuderia will suffice as far as performance is to overrate one's own driving skills ... Basically IMO 99% of the drivers here will not miss any "performance" with the Spider but they will miss the fun and excitement, as well as the all-important "poseur" value if they go with the Scud.

Thats true til you reach the ages of late 30s/early 40s and thats when it downs on you that you've been an average driver all along. Of course when you are in your 50s or 60s you realize that you were even bellow average!
However no matter what age you are if you are a lebanese you'll allways think you are better than Schumi.
