The front is a Jag, the rear looks like a Porsche and the engineering as well as parts of the interior come from Mercedes. That‘s what I call a joint venture.

Are there people who actually like the Zagato front? I always found them off-putting compared to the normal aston martin fronts.
I said it before and I will say it again; AM really lost it with their design language... That sat on gold, but failed miserably with letting this styling evolve. Now they are desperately trying to update their designs, but they all look clumsy, overly aggressive and lacking class... I hope they will find a better design language soon, cause I have always had a weak spot for Astons.

BjoernB:to my eye it's a perfect blend of Zagato,DB11 and Vantage in one car ! the word superleggera is a bit "off" for such a heavy car but everything else just cries out class ! I would take this over a 812 anyday
You are aware that the Aston has a turbo charged engine, do you?
The Biturbo V12 from Mercedes isn't exactly a master in throttle response and/or turbo lag.
Sound could be OK but even that isn't sure...
I would take the 812 over this Aston anytime.

The V12 isn’t from MB. I thought it was a derivative of the previous Ford generation.
i love the Aston’s looks but the Ferrari engine wins. Ferrari could learns some lessons from Aston in exterior design.

Didn't know that...interesting. Not that a Ford derivative bi-turbo V12 would be better.

The engine in the 812 is a treat, no doubt about it. I would get the 812 with that n/a engine even if it looked like a Ford.

BjoernB:It's a GT car - I have and never will buy a car based on "throttle response".....
Then, you are a poser...
On a more serious note: 900 Nm and RWD? My E63 S has AWD and in Sport+ and Race mode, the car has traction(!) issues. So I'm not sure how the Aston will handle it.
I'd still prefer the V12 Vantage S but what does a R8 driver like me know?!

If I would be a poser I would have leased
on a more serious note - I like the old one already
Nope, posers buy because they don't have the credit rating to lease. (at least here in Germany)
Also, posers buy because they don't know how to invest the "saved" money on financial markets.
Unless of course you have so much money that you don't care, then I would buy too.
On an even more serious note: Not a fan of turbo charged engines in sportscars, even GT cars.
However, it is good to see that Aston Martin hasn't given up and finally entered the power/performance game (hopefully).

SciFrog:For the record RC, you don’t invest, you speculate on the financial markets, it is not quite the same.
Of course I speculate but you got my point...
This car seem interesting but until we all see it in real, I am still puzzled by the mixed design messages.
AM wants to be portrayed as up-to-date again, design- and performance-wise. I guess. Probably the reason why they do it differently right now. Could work, could go wrong since AM has a more traditional clientele.
