    2009 997TT Coupe

I just spoke to the sales manager at my dealership. Dealers have started to receive their 2009 allocations. Details are still a bit fuzzy at this point - at least for me. My car is showing a July build, so I will be officially joining the ranks here in a few months. Thanks to everyone who have helped along the way.

    Here are my specs:

    *replaces DAD+CDZ, allows deviating stitching

    XM Radio
    Bluetooth phone???

After some debate, I think I will delete the Park Assist and I am still debating about the thicker multi-function wheel vs the thicker sport well.

    Is there anything I missed?

    Re: 2009 997TT Coupe

I would keep the park assist. iPod connection if available?

Back seats in leather? Expensive but at the point you are...

    Re: 2009 997TT Coupe

Have you gotten a price yet? Wondering what the increase over the 2008 is going to be as I just ordered my 2008 997TT Cab and could still change.

Thank you for any intel you got.

Somebody said 2.8% but that was a poster on 6speedonline, not anything official from Porsche. AFAIK, order guides are not available yet. PCM in Leather (CUR), Instrument Surround in Leather (XNG) and Rear Differential Lock (220) are not available for whatever reason. There are some new PCM phone options and XM radio.

    Re: 2009 997TT Coupe

Probably too early to get pricing, my dealer mentioned around mid/late May at the earliest. Was hoping for a sneak preview.

    Thank you

    Re: 2009 997TT Coupe

Are they sure that you are getting an 09?...I also have a July build date but mine is an 08 model

    BTW nice spec

Thanks regarding the specs. It is a 2009 but the build date it is currently listed as July 00. The order is in the PCNA system and is the dealers next 997TT after their June build car.

    New Options include:
    671 PCN Voice control
    686 XM Radio
    670 Universal Audio Interface
    669 Wireless Receiver for Telephone

The following could NOT be ordered:
    220 Rear Differential Lock
    CUR PCM in Leather
    XNG Instrument Surround in Leather
    CNE Spoiler Lip Painted
    CNG Lower Rear Apron Painted

Also, Cream White and some blue color (possibly more colors) are now options. It is all pretty sketchy at this point - apparently the car just showed up in the system last night. No order guide or clear explanation of the new options are available to me.

    Hope that helps.

    Re: 2009 997TT Coupe

I had a very early July 07 build, and it was a MY2008. IIRC, it was originally scheduled to be completed 7/4, and it was done early on 7/2.

    Re: 2009 997TT Coupe

    Very nice specs!

BTW: Do you have any pics witch yellow stitching together with white ext. color?
I couldn't imaging how these both colors would match up. Just curiuos.

    Re: 2009 997TT Coupe

Door Sill Finishers in leather were supposedly dropped as well as the options you listed. The surround on the PCM will be black for first '09 cars so equipped, but can't believe they dropped leather PCM.

    Good luck!

I was skeptical too but I saw a white GT3 in person with black leather/yellow stitching and it really looked good. The seats were obviously different, but overall the yellow looked better in person than in any photos I have seen.

I also saw a GT3RS with black leather/white stitching that looked great but I worry the white stitching would be impossible to keep clean.

All that said, I do have stitching reservations. Will something get missed or screwed up? Is it too obnoxious? Is it a waste of money? The list goes on...

This is the closest photo I have found. Can you " imagine" the exterior color as white?

    Eric,

I was told XTV (Door Finishers in Leather) were NOT orderable. XTG (formerly "Inner SIll Finisher in Leather") is showing up on my car but the description is "Inner Sill Parts/Release-Lthr" so I don't know what that covers. I wish an order guide was available.

Also, there is a 6-disk in-dash CD changer available that I forgot to mention.

Do you think the leather PCM will be available as an option later or maybe the option just changed from CUR to something else my dealer overlooked. Either way, I think I can live with painted black PCM. Any idea on the phone options? Tooki may still be the best option.

Thanks for your help last month and now.

    Re: 2009 997TT Coupe

Congrats on a very "complete" car.

My very strong vote for XPA, the thick Sport Steering Wheel. A critical option for the obvious reason that you touch this thing every time you're in the car.

May I ask why you cannot order Rear Differential Lock? This is an important option. IMHO: I would wait until it's available.

Also, just my opinion/personal taste, no right or wrong here: This is the one time where I think yellow dials would work; yellow belts with white dials don't quite match. See enclosed picture: It belongs to a friend of mine and is one of the most impressive interiors I've seen. It almost makes me feel bad about my mundane beige int.

    Re: 2009 997TT Coupe

I think the LSD is going to be standard, as are some of the leather bits. The pcm leather went bc few were ordered outside of the US. That's my inside info......but what about the biggest deal breaker of all, using a DPI m97 based 3.8 instead of the true dry sump gt1 3.6 in MY09???
The door finishers are a nice touch, but the console cover with turbo script was the one that I forgot.

    Re: 2009 997TT Coupe

Nice specs. Can't wait to see pics when your car arrives (it is very similar to mine!)

Yes, I know. I have been drooling over your car since you posted pics of it rolling off the truck. I would have bought your car on the spot had it been offered to me for immediate deliver.

I don't know and I have not received any definitive information. My opinion is that the differences will be minor - a PCM update and a few electronic bells and whistles (see above). I certainly do not expect anything major. My guess is that it may be a short run in 2009 with the new model showing up in mid-2009 as a 2010 model. There is supposed to be an announcement in June, so we should all know more then.

    Re: 2009 997TT Coupe

check for new optional wheels as alternative to the standard TT wheels...

    Re: 2009 997TT Coupe

    Kitchen Sink?

    Re: 2009 997TT Coupe

Yea, I just found it was an option for 2009 so I threw it in too.

All the options are really the fault of this forum. I started wanting PCCB, sport shifter, LSD, adaptive sport seats and a handful of other options but then I stumbled into this forum. A handful of guys here really started me thinking and the option list just grew out of hand. Now it seems there is nothing I can live without. Seriously though, I have have received lots of great advice and feedback.

Will there be bluetooth-phone support in the 2009 model??

    As always, Jason is correct.

    Re: 2009 997TT Coupe

Congrats sparkhill. Your spec list is impressive.

Just a question... has your dealer confirmed any engine changes from the current model?

    Re: 2009 997TT Coupe

Allocations for first six months are coming to all dealers. PCM is the only confirmed change, no fascia change for the Turbo.

Other models, well, there are changes, and in some cases, delays. Apparently no PDK on the '09 TT initially.

My dealer has not confirmed anything, not even pricing, other than the minor items Eric alluded to. I am confident Eric is correct regarding no engine changes.
