    Sorry for the sloppy grammar since I wrote it quickly on my phone Smiley I could elaborate if something is not clear enough thoug.

     So with the seats in my 720 which do not had a lumbar adjustment should I be shoving some sort of  small cushion into that lumbar area to make sure the curve is kept in place ?

    From you previous post I saw that you were already on the money regarding the proper seating adjustments, you jacked the seat up as high as possible, not tilt the backrest back too much if possible, and adjusted the distance to the wheel so your kness can be bent and not straight. So if you still feel disconfort in your lowback or sciatic, then the cushion would indeed be a good idea if your seat does not provide adjustable lumbar support.

    A small cushion should do, between 1-2 inches thick depending on its density, of narrow height, and should be placed on the mid-low lumbars. The point is to do whatever is needed so that the lowback is slightly curved forward or at the very least straight, but never slouched or bent forward when seated.

    Dehydrated disc means that disc degeneration is starting to set in and the disc is loosing its ability to hold the water because of the breakdown of its tissue, just like an old sponge cannot soak up as much water anymore. Its usually accompanied by a decrease in the height of the disc as well. This is not usually because of age but rather because of the wear and tear its being subjected to and evidence of this is that its only going to affect one or two discs while the other are fine while being the same age, specifically it should be either your L5-S1 disc or L4-L5 disc or both. And sciatica could be a sign that they are starting to bulge out (like a tire that hit a kerb and the damage cause the sidewall to bulge outwards) in the postero-lateral direction decreasing the lateral recess where one of the nerve roots of the sciatic emerges from before it leaves the spine. A bit of good news is that while the dehydration cannot be reversed, it doesn't mean you have to have pain from now on, there are other factors at play too and if you correct or improve those you can be fine without problems, but the more degeneration the harder it is though, so prevention is critical, there are no spare parts you can order from the factory here Smiley

    I can trade you my desk chair , that is the one with the bad seating position, but only if yours is like this one porsche-Office-chair.jpg Smiley

    In the RS with the LWB seats  I sit straight with legs bent . A perfect position where I can drive for 6 hours and have hardly any pain Smiley

    Carlos , thanks for the explanations . I do manage the pain and have found solutions to go around it . Only place where I could do better is the seating position at the desk where I tend to lay back and have my legs up Smiley
