Whether a car depreciates is irrelevant. I don’t buy mass produced cars. I buy care that hold their value though they experience some depreciation. What’s important is what the dealer is will to buy it back for. That depends on the market at the time I sell it back. For an example I’ll sell my .2 GT3 soon after my RS is built on July 20th. The car will not be delivered until middle of September. The second batch of GT3 allocations should be announced in September or October. My dealer should be able to get a good price on my car and give me a fair valuation for my car. All the profit will good to my dealer.
