Re: New pics of 911 Facelift...

Yeah. For some reason, they seem to do that more often. Maybe to make us think it is not porsche cars but cars from a tuner? Who knows :dunno:

Re: New pics of 911 Facelift...

Always liked those rims a lot!

Re: New pics of 911 Facelift...

Thanks for the photos. Don't miss the complete collection (19 photos) on http://www.leftlanenews.com/porsche-911-future.html

I really like what they've done to the section behind the rear wheel. Looks a lot better than the current 997.

Re: New pics of 911 Facelift...

back lights is all camouflaged, what you see is silver sticker, red and black in the bottom.. the only parts showing are the LEDs. look closely at both lights they don't look identical

    Very good find.

Re: New pics of 911 Facelift...

You guy just made me realize that the Front Indicator Lights will probably look like the Cayenne GTS, horizontally elongated. They Look covered with a plastic film. Check it out, what do you think?

Could you explain that a little bit more?

Re: New pics of 911 Facelift...

BTW, just spoke to my dealer. He basically confirmed what we already know: Carrera 2 is due within the next months, Carrera 4 models will come later, what means November or so.
Power increase at the S expected to be 25 to 30 hp.

But there's a catch: according to his newest info, PDK is NOT ready from the start. He couldn't say when this tranny will be introduced.

Re: New pics of 911 Facelift...

    Stefan,

Thanks. You confirmed what I also heard 385ps and manual only from the start.

Great catch! You are right! Maybe they will be all red?

No need for an all-red-rearlight-option, guess Porsche shows up with all-white-rearlight-option called "icelights" for double price then.

Make your 997FL something special, give it a hint of your neighbour's Aston Martin...

Maybe Porsche will wait until even Tata offers DSG on their cars

Re: New pics of 911 Facelift...

@Rossi: jooo... tell me where I can buy those colored rearlights for my 997!

I'm always wondering how many supplemental 3rd party lights you can order for any ugly small car in the world. But for our Sportcars there is no 3rd party provider at all.

Re: New pics of 911 Facelift...

I just spoke with my sales person, who stated that Porsche has invited some of the staff to attend the 911 facelift in Spain this June. There will be some Ruby Red launch cars there.

I really wouldn't be surprised if Tata comes first.

Re: New pics of 911 Facelift...

    Hello,
It's possible to have more information on the 997 GT3 RSR STREET VERSION.
    motor 4.0l? DSG?...
    Thank you

Re: New pics of 911 Facelift...

Well, my interpretation is that this is a mistake. On the press site, porsche accidentally placed the update of the 997 GT3 RSR race car in the category of normal roadcars. This could mean two things:
    1. They just placed it in the wrong menu
    2. They placed it in the wrong menu, because the guy building their website mistook this announcement for the announcement of the RSR road version.

Personally, I wouldn't know what we need a GT3, a GT3 rs and a GT3 rsr for (other than homologation model). So, I highly doubt that it will come. However, we're still talking about Porsche "I have a crave for as many different variants as possible", so nothing is impossible :-S

Re: New pics of 911 Facelift...

    Thank you JOOST,
    If it's true, it's insane.
Since the time but it may be possible in 1974 watching RSR 2.8 L and 964 rs 3.8 l models with different engine and very track oriented,
I think this must porsche out of this model to keep the flame of passion that every has in him.
FABIO can you tell me more ...?
    Dream it's so good ....
Keep the Passion like this forum

Re: New pics of 911 Facelift...

No need to introduce the RSR for homologation, as the GT3 is homologated.
The RSR is the ACO's GT2 classification fo the GT3 homologation.
I know this sounds confusing but think of it this way:
The ACO has homologated the Porsche GT3 road car, and the RSR is the race version of that car.

Re: New pics of 911 Facelift...

lolo i heard this thing from a friend. Usually he is very accurate.

Re: New pics of 911 Facelift...

    Thank Fabio
When you have more information post it.
It's incredible A rsr for road whaouoooouu....

Porsche has the all-red taillights as an accessory.
No need to find a third party.

Re: New pics of 911 Facelift...

btw saw a US facelift in the stuttgart factory last week, looked good in white, though you really need to pay attention the see the difference!

Re: New pics of 911 Facelift...
