New Audi 7 speed S-tronic or DSG
The new transmission has been developped by Audi on its own.
It's a DSG (with 2 "clutch")
It's a transmission that was created to work with 4WD system and distributes 60% to the back wheels and 40 to the front. If needed, the ratio can go to 85% to the back wheels.
The AUDI 7 speed gear box can cope with 550 Nm ot torque (compared to 250 for the VW DSG 7 speed) at up to 9000 rpm.
The 7 speed S-tronic will be available at first on the S5
Question is, what about the GT3 and Turbo ???
