    Looking for some Cup Tyres....

I'm looking for some Michelin PS Cups for those odd track days I find myself on and perhaps give me a chance of keeping up with the CSL's.

The current tyre size for the standard Michelin PS2's are -

    235 x 35 x 19 (87Y) - Fronts
    295 x 30 x 19 (100Y) - Rears

However, the Michelin PS Cups come in -

    235 x 35 x 19 (87Y) - Fronts
    305 x 30 x 19 (102Y) - Rears

Will the 305 Tyre fit the standard Rims for C2S and iff so are there any side effects increasing tyre width like this...(Should just get a GT3 and be done with it...lol)

Yes if you want to keep up with CSLs.

The C2S is a fine road car but not that great on a track. But adding Cups and upgraded brake pads and fluid will get you closer to the CSL.

    Sounds like 4S/Turbo sizes

Re: Looking for some Cup Tyres....

I think the will fit. check with your mechanic.

very important if you go to a trackday, change your brake pads to racing pads. pagid yello are good. racing fluid also.

the stock pads will melt and destroy your brake disc!

have fun, to fight the CSL, beat him down!

Yes the 305/30/19 Cups fit on the rear.

Alternatively go for Pirelli Corsa System, which are available in the standard sizes. The Corsa is the best all round road/track R compund tyre.

Either way talk to Steve at Simply Tyres on 07737 741 634. He does mobile and trackside fitting to the highest standard.

Re: Looking for some Cup Tyres....

Thanks for the info guys. I'm exploring possibilities for Spa later this year (May) where I need to be a lot closer to a mates CSL. I know the C2S isn't going to cut it in the long term but I'm just after a little more edge and this time I'm insured too.

The only hope I've got of whippin his A$$ is when I get myself a 997 GT3 or Scott sells me his for half what he paid for it.
