    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

so that itv one not working outside uk!?

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

Bazza, like AtzP, I received the same message. Then again I will not need it because I will pick it up on Speed. Hey Atz, I'll see if Speed has a video feed like they offered for the Sebring race.

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

I DON'T HAVE SPEED!! got the very basic setup (13 channels that are useless) as i don't watch TV.. now im regretting it!!

GUYS HOW WILL I BE ABLE TO WATCH F1?!?!?!!

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

Nonetheless my favorite as always is NICK HEIDFELD!!! BMW!!

but i love Mark Webber, he's cool. Ferrari will own and hopefully McLaren will drown

at any rate its gonna be a great season!

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

It looks like SpeedTV's online coverage requires you to be a paid member. It seems like it will be hard to find a free feed. Do you know anyone... I mean anyone who could you out? Like a neighbor or a friend that has a channel for it?

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

    try sopcast!?

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

ya ill be going to a friends place!

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

installation lap is done. National anthem has just been sung. We are ready! I'm at the turn 1 today. Let's hope everyone gets through cleanly!

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

    Have fun mate!

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

not a good day for ferrari!

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

both ferrari driver really missed trackion control hahahah!

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

What a messy race for Kimi! I was very happy when he was right up the tail of second macLaren when the safety car pulled off, fighting for 2nd position with Lewis just in front of him. But within a few corners my dreams of back to back wins for Kimi at the Australian GP came to an end. Well done to Lewis though, he didn't put a foot wrong. And I am also very happy to see Rubens getting some points. And Alonso proved today why he gets paid the big bucks in an uncompettive car. Oh and Bordias' dream debut nearly came true!

Haha you need to be a lightly larger partner of Vodafone than just one mobile phone to get invited. Having said that, last year I met a guy at the dinner after the race and all he did was to buy a mobile service from Vodafone and he got the same invitation as I did! (disclaimer: The fact that he won a competition from Vodafone for its subscribers was kinda irrelevant )

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

My Oliver yesterday in his Australian Grand Prix "Mad Racer" baby suit.

This is him today in his other Australian GP clothes - "Daddy's Little Driver".

His mummy in her Ferrari top with Oliver in his bedroom.

And here is a photo of the start of the race just before Massa and Heikki had their little stouch.

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

Yes FErrari got PWND. I was sick and tired of reading articles about them being faster than Mclaren, their reliability is rubbish as well. Now they don't only have to deal with Mclaren but BMW as well. Hamilton once again demonstrated that he's the king.

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

    thats a cutie Way!

ur whole family are true car fanatics!
even ur room is littered with car mags!!

nice view from ur place btw. how high up are u at the tower?
been up there once, pretty scary when it's windy

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

Thanks derder. I am up on the 40th floor. Which is not very high considering the highest residence is on 92nd (whole floor penthouse!)! Yeah the view is magnificent as I see all the way from Docklands on the left to East Melbourne to the right with the city right in front. And of course the view of Yarra river is magnificent especially during the fireworks.

MacLaren had a party here Friday night on the 89th floor on the observation deck. Lewis was in and out in just a few mins according to the doorman. Oh, and I am the only car fanatic in this family. I just force it on the missus and the baby! Hehe.

IMO, Massa once again proved to be a 2nd Tier driver - both of his "aggressive" passes caused contact!

Hmmm... Not only Massa, also Raikkonen

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

lack of traction control is good, it provided the only excitement.

not sure can u watch it outside uk!?

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

    Loved the race!
So much more exciting than most races, and the new regulations seem to have helped a lot - especially of course the lack of electronic aides.

Raikkonen: Drove like a teenager. I dunno wtf he was thinking - especially that pass on (was it Kovalainen?) 1 lap before he was supposed to pit anyway.
    Just plain dumb.
And his lapse of concentration gracing the grass and concequently spinning out was just as strange. I dunno if the car was somehow out of whack, but perhaps he just killed the car with his gravel visits.

Hamilton drove very cool and sensibly and deserved the win.

Good job by Barri too, altho his pitlane move was as unwise as Kimi's passes.

Alonso made the most of the car. What a strange battle he and Kovalainen had. Got passed by Kovalainen, the Kovalainen seemed to lose steam, and Alonso took back his position. Strange.

Poor tactics from BMW, or perhaps just plain bad luck with the SC periods.
Too bad, cuz they had a great weekend until then.

Massa: Very immature maneuvres IMO, and he had to pick up the cheque on those in the end.

I wonder if the heat and the nerves/anxiety of the first race got the best of both Kimi, Barri and Massa. It's rare to see them make mistakes like those (except for Kimi who often drives over-the-top when it's not necessary.)

My money is (as always) on Kimi for the season - but let's see. This is F1. Anything can happen.

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

Seems Barri got disqualified and Kimi gained a point.

Also looks like both Ferraris had engine failures according to Ferrari officials:

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

hamilton drove like a king, and IMO was really in full control without tc. alonso drove gr8 too

    Re: Australian F1 Grand Prix

Apparently Heikki Kovalainen accidentally pressed the pit lane cruise control during the dual with Alonso, which is why he lost speed. Ferrari were a wreck this weekend, did a terrible job, not only with the reliability but Kimi was heavily out of focus.
