Some things.
Picked up the car late on Friday. Drove down to another part of the country early Saturday for a short break and to put some miles on it. Typically it rained for about 24 hours but managed to get over 400 miles clocked up. Now nearly all of this was motorway driving in 6th gear at 2000 rpm, so when I got back today I decided to stretch it a little bit, so I drove about 30 miles a lot more spiritedly. Never went over 4500 revs but did push the car a bit.
Right or wrong?
Early Saturday, on the motorway (M25 for the UK people here) with less than a hundred miles on the clock I hear BANG! A big stone gets thrown up from a lorry in front of me and crashes into the roof! I almost couldn't bear to look but yes, I have a glaring white stonechip front/centre of my beautiful new black roof. My girlfriend says you can't even see it but to me it looks like a moon crater, I could see it from space. It's the frustration isn't it? There's no one to scream at, it's nobodies fault, it's just one of those things.
And finally, I got home, felt pretty tired, watched some sport on the telly and then went into the kitchen to wash my hands. Looked out the window and BOOM!!!! There it is on the drive, I'd forgotten momentarily that I had it, what a great feeling. I've had Porches before but never the Turbo, waited a long time and worked a lot of hours for this baby. Damn it feels good!!!
