    Front Brake Job

    Anyone know if you need a special tool to get the front brake calipers off the Cayenne? I have always done my own
    brake jobs on other makes and it always seemed like you need the manufacturers tool because of a non standard head on the bolt that holds the calipers in place...Does anyone know?

    Much appreciated. Porsche quoted me $200 for the brake pads and another $20 for the wear sensors. Does that seem right? Sounds a little pricy for just brake pads. Any suggestions on alternative supplier?

    To add a little salt to the wound, I'm taking delivery on a GTS in a month. Went 63k on the original brake pads and now 1 month left of ownership and the warning light goes off. Although that's some pretty good mileage on the original set of pads. Lots of engine braking I guess....

    I think its high by about $50, try ebay or Tirerack or search for Hawk Dustless pads and make the next owner very happy

    Thanks Mick much appreciated. Got them from Tirerack and
    they work great. Now I just have to figure out how to reset the sensor warning light. It didn't go out after I replaced the pads and sensors. Back brakes were fine and the sensors were not touched....Did you have any problems with the sensor light staying on?
