    Orange 997TT heavily loaded full of options!

    I was having something installed in mine at Cantrell Motorsport when I spotted a friend's new orange 997TT parked outside. It was getting the new wheels installed. I absolutely can't wait to see how it turns out! This particular Turbo was loaded chock full of options from leather, alcantara, CF, etc.

    20" HRE wheels of some type (can't remember what they are) with black centers and orange lip/well. Looked pretty insane! I don't want to spoil the surprise for him so I didn't post them.

    Should of left the grille non painted or maybe aluminum IMO.

    I believe it's about $6k usd "colour to sample" and potentially delays the car up to 6 months. also colours submitted are subject to approval by Porsche.

    A lot less if its in the catalogue (but i dont think this colour is offered for the TT so C-t-s would be the only way)

    I believe that Seth said that this is the same color used on the GT3 RS so it was already in their system. I believe it delayed production only by a month as a result.

    I admit that the camera made the car look a wee bit brighter than it really appears in real life. I used my small point and shoot camera because that was all I had at the time. I left my DSLR at home.

    You say he has guts, well, it may surprise you to know that this car is both a) a tiptronic and b) for his wife!!!

    Heck..., International Orange! I'm glad the guy is happy and wish him well.

    I don't get it though. I couldn't drive that car in my neighborhood without creating an unfortunate buzz.

    So what if I don't understand it!? I also don't get why some native tribes in Africa walk around and go to work with their penises jammed in long tubes fashioned out of bark (?). Their fully exposed scrotums finish off the effect. (Didjoo see that on TV?)

    I guess it would be rhetorical to ask if you carried a camera everywhere you went, right?

    Nice looking car. It would certainly stand out in a crowd.

    I saw the car today, and I thought it was quite nice. Not for me of course, but nice none the less. Must be the Dutch in me.
    BTW the wheels are going to be way over the top! I don't think they need to worry about what the neighbors are going to think. It'll be every pimple faced dork kid in a Ricer that will want to race that will probably become tiresome.

    I had my camera with me because I was getting the IPD plenum installed and that car happened to be there but yes, I do normally carry my camera with me usually.

    Like all turbos, I like it. Maybe not my style, but I like it anyway. Yellow calipers seem to clash though.

    Ditto. Very nice, but the calipers clash.

    Jason, now it makes more sense. The wife made him do it. I know how that goes. This car may actually looks good if it belongs to a verrry prettty lady:)

    Thread caught my eye because my wife took delivery of an LE Boxster S recently. Quite out of the blue, not something I would have done for myself, but it puts a smile on her face everytime she's behind the wheel. Novel idea, purchasing something purely for the joy it provides.

    I went to look at a Boxster LE a few months ago at Ira Porsche because it is a color I'm considering for my next 911. THAT is a beautiful Boxster - pics do not do it justice, you have to see it IRL for those of you who haven't seen one.
