Reminds me of my experience at a Ferrari dealership back in 2004~.
I walked in and was treated well, but when I expressed interest in a new CS, the salesman was clearly amused.
He said if I were to "take off their hands" the two used maserati's or a used 456/360 spider that they had, he could "bump me up on the waiting list for the CS"
I had no interest in playing such games, drove 20 minutes to the Porsche dealership I've never been to and bought their only 05 GT3 (at a 8k discount no less).
I have no interest in driving a used car, ever nor do I pay MSRP (much less OVER) for a car. So the proposition of having to buy a used f-car or to pay a premium for one in order to get the latest model seems very stupid to me.
I suppose I may never own one until I find a way around it... Perhaps buying other New cars at a boutique dealership/chain that has Ferrari and other brands (Porsche/AM/etc) until I build enough "street cred" to get onto the New Fcar list without suffering the indignities of buying used/over MSRP.

Why is a Scud better than a CS, because it's newer? Head on over to FerrariChat.com and see how many Scuderia buyers are also keeping their CS after driving both.

Not again you guys...
In all honesty, I would want a Challenge stradale over the GT3/RS if running costs/parts costs were equal.
As a track car, it is so much less expensive to run a GT3.
I almost bit the bullet and got one, I have a thing about buying used/pre-registered cars.

We aren't talking about TV's here, we're talking about Ferrari's. TV's are designed to take advantage of emerging technologies, like HD signals. Some Ferrari's are destined to be classics. The 360 represented a big change in Ferrari designs, and the 360 CS was the best of that design. The change to the 430 was not as dramatic as the 355 - 360 change. Would you trade a 1961 250 GT for a brand new Scuderia? I certainly would not. I would also rather have an Enzo than a Scuderia, all dollar value BS aside. I think the Enzo looks better even though there isn't much performance-wise to differentiate them. I think the 360 CS looks better than the Scud. The Scud, in my opinion is technically a better car than the CS, but I'd still rather have the CS as I think it's a classic design and a drivers car.

The title of the thread is Scud vs. CS. If you read through the thread again, it looks like you're saying the 360 and 430 are the same model and we are all agreeing with you.

Right, so your opinion is that new is better and that goes for Ferrari's and TV's. My opinion is that the CS is the better looking car and it looks like most of the people responding agree with that as well.
