    Car Arrived Today w/TechArt Steering Wheel - WOW

    TechArt Steering Wheel - All I can say is WOW

    My car arrived home today with TechArt Carbon Steering Wheel w/silver stitching, Carbon Mirrow Triangles, & Carbon Ignition Rosette installed.

    That does look great!

    Can I ask how much the steering wheel was in comparison to say a thicker OEM steering wheel?

    The OEM Round 3-Spoke (XPA) is $310.00.
    The TechArt with the carbon is $2,550.00. Since I am not returning my OEM wheel as a core charge, I had to pay another $600.00

    Outch!!

    Love the steering wheel, but 2.5k plus dollars worth

    My thicker multi-function steer wheel option was Pounds450, so about $900 - although I guess it would be less than that if bought in the US.

    You truly do have a great looking interior though

    Thats what I thought 2K plus for a steering wheel? but after seeing one in person and gripping it I changed my mind. Truly a must have. Wish it was 1.5 though 2K is pushing it. But I MUST HAVE!

    Wow, Duffy, that looks really good! You made a great choice going with that wheel!

    When I got mine a year ago it was $2k but because of the rising Euro, it's another $500 now.

    The XPA option may be $310 but a new OEM 3 spoke thick wheel is a little less than $1,300 and the round airbag a little less than $700.

    That looks great, love the ignition rosette, nice touch, how does the wheel compare in size to the thicker leather OEM one,do you have a picture of the mirror triangles, it looks like the carbon is a very close match to Porsche, overall interior looks mint.

    Fantastic car! Really does increase your carbon footprint, though.

    $3100+ for the steering wheel? You ARE car nuts!

    The OEM thicker rim comes nowhere near the size/heft of the Techart wheel especially around the 9 and 3 position.


    The CF ignition rosetta looks nice! Maybe I shoudl get the same too! Was it hard to swap or did the dealership do it for you?

    does anybody have a photo of TechArt Multifunctional Carbon Steering Wheel (for tiptronic)? A thicker version like this one on the photo. I searched over google and techart.de, no luck.

    Doesn't have CF on top but it would look similar to this

    But IMO it must not have the techart logo on the bottom, and i guess it's possible as we see on the sports steering wheel

    One question : I have standart MF steering wheel on my car, could I just switch to sports one without any trouble?

    I'm fairly sure that you can but you'd lose the MF functionality. If that doesn't bother you then by all means go for it. And yes, you can request that they NOT put the Techart logo too.

    The dealer installed the mirror triangles & rosette. When I thought the car would be home before the pieces arrived, I asked Eric at BumperPlugs if it was a difficult swap and he said I could do it myself.

    Bingo & Salihbjk,

    The match is nearly perfect. It is hard to tell as even the OEM looks different on different parts. It shows differently on flat, concave, & convex surfaces. The pictures do not do it justice. The rosette is 249.00 with core exchange and the mirror triangles are 395.00 which includes 45.00 core exchange. Don't know why they price one with core exchange and one without!!!!

    hey eric, do you also have the piece between the mirror triangle and door handle in carbon? I guess porsche has option them as a part (door handle and that piece i described), but i don't like the door handle in carbon.
