    New rear chassis from R8. New brakes(both standard and ceramics). 550hhp/530Nm... Performance wise 0-100km/h in 3.8s and over 320km/h top speed... More expensive as well...

    Although 550bhp is not exactly a small output it is going to be rather overshadowed by the R8 fitted with the V10 if the rumoured 580bhp state of tune materializes in that car. It kind of makes me think that Lamborghini will pull yet another power hike trick late next year once the Murci replacement has been launched.

    R8 V10 will have 520hp/530Nm...

    Ah, that makes more sense. Thanks Kreso I read the 580 on another form and thought it a bit strange that Audi would get more power than Lambo considering the likely price differential.

    That definately makes sense. The R8 brought some improvements that were rumoured to appear on the revised Gallardo, after all another aspect where Lambo can benefit from its mothership. I get the feeling they were primarily lacking on development funds, less on staff and skills.

    If the R8 is an indicator for the upcoming Gallardo, it will be a great improvement.

    Facelift coupe models should be on sale from June/July this year. The facelift spyder comes sometime next year. I'd guess the revised model range will have a lifespan potentially of up to 3 years but a lot will depend on the F142, Ferrari's F430 successor which is due late 2009 or into 2010. I would guess the Gallardo replacement will appear a year or so after the Ferrari.

    There is an embargo on information. If I scan the teaser my dealer(who is also member here!) will know it.

    Pictures could surface on some Russian web sites on Thursday-Friday this week...

    I can just tell you what is on teaser:

    Ferocious... Uncompromising... Extreme... And very Italian!
