    Well, I wouldn't take the specified month too serious. If you look at the current 997's date 04.2004 that is 3 months off from the actual 997's launch date 17 July 2004 in Europe. And it took another year until TPMS was available for the 997 in the US. The given date might be Beru's start of production (SOP) for the 997 version of the TPMS control unit.

    Perhaps another hint.

    Look in the US version of the PAG homepage, click "build your porsche" there you can still order the colour "cobalt blue metalic"

    Do the same in the german version www.porsche.de
    "Car configurator" . the order of "cobalt blue" will end there in 4/08.

    Also getting the axe are forest green, dark olive, and slate grey. Some of those colors will be dropped as early as at the end of this month. The same colors will be dropped on the 987 in July (=> FL shown in Paris).

    The writing was on the wall when those colors were not available on the GT2 at launch. I wonder what colors will replace them.

    Slate is still available... for $1,200 more (that's the price difference between "special" and "paint to sample").

    I'd wait for the new colors to be announced, though...

    I guess there will be a similar colour, equivalent to slate to replace it (same as meteor did to seal).

    ok, some neew images from automotorundsport.de . also looking to the calendar it seems that the facelift models will come just in Paris this year not in Geneva. Also I have the schedule for the press conferences in Geneva and there it isn't a Porsche conference this year, so I think we there is no way we will see the facelift cars.

    Yep! A minimal change with a lovely effect. Very Porsche, this. As the owner of a soon-to-be "old" 997 4S, I ask myself: will just changing the front and rear bumpers be enough (plus the rear lights, obviously) to update? Probably. Latest: the car will be in the showrooms in June !
