    Chris Harris drives F1 car

    One of my favorite magazine writers Chris Harris drives Mark Webber's old Jaguar R5 at Silverstone powered by a new Cosworth V10. This is proper loud so turn down the volume just a tad bit when the car is turned on.

    I loved the V10's and they way they sounded. The shierk was incredible. The V8's are too buzzy ...

    His first spin really startled me. It just happened so quickly. I couldn't imagine being behind the driver seat because if he crashed the machine you know he would have felt even worse after he spun the second time.

    190+ mph at the first corner is madness. I can't imagine doing that... sheesh!

    This just goes to show how incredibly difficult it is to drive a F1 car. Anyone who says that it has become too easy has obviously never driven one


    Regarding the first corner, I went to the Britsih GP at Silverstone in 2005, and the most incredible thing during the whole weekend was standing at Copse (the first corner) during training and watching the cars go through at an incredible pace. In addition to doing about 190 mph through that corner they are also pulling about 5G (lateral)

    I guess that's when you pray that you don't get a puncture...


    Oh, I almost forgot, MAN I miss V10s....
