    Picked up my new 997 Targa today.

    Picked up the car today and I just love the colourcombo I picked......I was a bit unsure from what the configurator showed......

    The car has a new Z option of black carpets togeteher with the bicolor sand/black, the new red taillights and painted rear logo. I am very happy with how it turned out.

    Black carpets are always advisable if you go for a bright interior like sand for example. Much better against dirt and the carpets are the area where your feet are...

    Congratulations on your new car, but I would love to see more pics, particularly of the bi-color interior.

    They even did a lighted nameplate for me at the exclusive dept......


    Probably won`t do much for the resale value though...

    I think I saw your rs lately on the rs registry?
    When the 997 rs was announced, everybody talked about maikng them white with red, and I couldn't fined any pic of an example. Could you please post some pics of your rs?

    how come your targa has quad exhausts (looks like an 's') but the badge indicates that its a 'targa 4' ie non s?

    Thanks a lot for all the nice comments. I am afraid the 997 GT3 RS in the picture belongs to a friend, and the the reason I parked in his garage was to compare "asses" (the only time in your life where it`s better to have the widest ass...) My car is now parked next to my 04`GT3 RS, which is slightly less challenged in the butt department...

    I will try to post some more pictures of the interior soon.

    As for the quad pipes, they are the optional sports exhast, which has slightly smaller pipes to the inside and larger on the outside ones.....

    Great looking car!! Love P cars in white. Best of luck. you now have the best of both worlds: A great tourer, chillier weather car and a rip snorting beast for blasts and track. Nice.

    Great car enjoy it. The glass roof must be something+ 4WD in the snow/ice this is what I would get If I lived there!
