blueflame:I sold yesterday my beloved 981 Spyder and will get a Stripper-Carrera T in April.
Last Info is that 718 Spyder will arrive in 2020 - so T for me in this and next season.
In 2020 I will decide betweeb 718 Spyder or used GT3 Touring - depends on the 718 engine and my driving experience with the 991-Platform-T.

Congrats on getting a fast Carrera
2020? Really. I would expect it to be presented shortly and first deliveries in fall.

Let's throw another rumor into the arena:
718 GT4 - (bi?)turbo charged engine with 400 or slightly over 400 hp, base price slightly under 100k EUR.
718 RS (not GT4 RS) - de-tuned 4.0 l GT3 engine with 440-450 hp. Limited production, way over 100k EUR base price.

The chance to get a GT3 Touring at MSRP, even used(!), will be pretty small if you don't get a new car now. These cars will hold their value pretty well and could become the "next best thing" next to a 911 R.

...hopefully not...
Well...those who really wanted the 911 R and couldn't get one, talking about drivers here, not collectors, will certainly go for a GT3 Touring. Now and in the future. This car won't be easy to get "cheap" (or at MSRP ) in a couple of years I'm afraid. Right now, it seems the GT3 Touring is still available (had an April production slot offered but declined...with PDK and rear seats, I would have taken it, seriously).

May be I´m wrong, but I see the used car prices of the 991.2 GT3 Touring in 2 years around 135K € - as you said, last week I still could have ordered one at my OPC (with no discount) and there already have been offers on mobile.de for slightly under list price.
They produce a lot of these cars - right now - I have seen at our OPC 4 Touring over the last weeks.

Don´t throw stones on me...
Miamiblue, PCCB, folding bucket-seats (because Kreso told us, they are lighter than the Full-buckets), Miamiblue-belts, Alcantara steering wheel...nothing else... (Gorilla glas, rear-seat-delete)
I will already pick it up in April at Zuffenhausen.

I wish you good luck. Yes, many are produced but once people realize it exists, that they can actually get one (unlike with the 991 R) and that there won't be more cars after a certain period of time, it will get difficult. Of course I can be wrong, have been before wrong when it comes to prices and resale values, so...

No, I was serious when I mentioned "are you serious" ??? So, foldable bucket seats means no "carrera T interior and you didin't choose RWS or the front lift... ?
Still, a coooooooooooooooooool combo - I am to satified with my GTS right now to let it go, but I think that the "T" is a great DD (incl. race track)...looking Forward to your presentation on RT later in April...

I think it depends whether there will be a 992 GT3 Touring or not.
I'd be interested in knowing the exact production number of all 991.2 GT3s and compare it to the 991.1 number. Wasn't the 991.1 GT3 built during a longer period of time, and they made around 5000 units.

It is not only about the touring. It is about high rev powerful NA engine coupled with a manual.
The GT3.2 has a better engine than its prototype. It will soon be a classic if you think what the future is all about electric or turbo. talking about value has no sense now.

RC:Let's throw another rumor into the arena:
718 GT4 - (bi?)turbo charged engine with 400 or slightly over 400 hp, base price slightly under 100k EUR.
718 RS (not GT4 RS) - de-tuned 4.0 l GT3 engine with 440-450 hp. Limited production, way over 100k EUR base price.
RC - in your rumor above, does the 718 GT4 with ~400hp have a Flat-4 or Flat-6 Turbocharged motor?
18 GT3 Manual, 73 Carrera RS 2.7 Carbon Fiber replica (1,890 lbs), 06 EVO9 with track mods. Former: 16 Cayman GT4, 73 911S, Two 951S's, 996 C2, 993 C2, 98 Ferrari 550, 79 635CSi
Still think the market for a manual car is not as big as you all imply. The touring will have good resale value vs the disaster that the regular 911 now are, but I don’t see anywhere near MSRP in two years. More like around $100-110k. Way too many GTx coming out from the factory for prices to stay put.
I also think there will be way too many GT of any kind to retain excellent value . There will most probably be a 992 Touring that is going to be '' better '' then the curent one or at least to interest more the general public .

I have no clue, my information resources regarding the 718 are very limited.
For me, the GT4 and RS rumor doesn't make sense, a GT4 and GT4 RS would make more sense but apparently there is some sort of strategy behind this...at least this is the rumor. Can't say how valid it is though, it doesn't come directly from Porsche but someone I know well and who often has the right information (or close to it).

don't forget that we are 1.5B more people on the planet since 2000 and we will be around 1.5B more in another 20 years...with currently new millionaires every day and in need to show off and catch up to be recongnized
number of GT is still low compared to the mass population represents. why the market is so crazy at the moment when there is plenty available?
we are yet to face a funny economic crises again though but the cycle will keep coming back as usual.
will it double 1 day? I hope not. will it stay above 0? that is for sure.
