    Re: 300'000km...

    Congrats! i made something like that with my rs6, but only since june 2003. About 75k kms every years, and the engine is still the same. But for the GT2, i will choose a yellow one, like my 996.

    @GT23: you're right, I'm a hero. Thanks!

    BTW, the measured weight of my car (full tank, winter tyres) is exactly 1'508 kg.

    Re: 300'000km...

    It's a long way to the Nürburgring...

    Hi Pierre,

    I am pretty impressed with the 300.000 kilometers on the clock, fantastic!

    I read today actually (BMW magazine) that one lap on the Nürburgring represents 20.000 kilometers (basically stresses on the car), so 15 laps would have represented 300k as well (say 8 min per lap, only 2 hrs of fun)

    Re: 300'000km...

    Thats the way you should drive your Porsche. Drive it whenever possible, and keep it as long as possible!

    Great news indeed and nice to see how reliable this Car is!

    There must be a typo in the BMW mag a "stress ratio" of 1000:1 is far too high (Porsche says 10:1 up to 13:1). As you mention BMW - I talked to another Ring maniac last Saturday, who did 40,000 (!!) km with his M5 at Nordschleife - you do the math...

    Hi Porsche-Jeck,

    Apologies you are right, it is actually 1000km on the Nurburgring is equivalent to 20000km on the normal roads. Not one lap
