BTW, regarding PTS for 991.2 GT3 RS. Price in EU is 8353€ without local VAT.

Now, it is not that easy to actually order it. But, with some luck it is available from 10/2018.

That's overhyping at it's best and for what ? a 911 with extra 20hp and some tweaks to the suspension for the price of 720S and Pista  Smiley

If these kind of laughable decisions continue with the way these cars are priced, they will soon enough announce the discontinuation of the 911 along with the diesel models Smiley

I know I'm never going back to P for two reasons now: Priced very close to Italian exotics + Rude Staff / Poor Management team for following up (Ignoring)  and lack of ethics.

from the technical viewpoint there is no more reason for a rear engined car. but you have to give them credit, they made it work against all odds. still, it is a compromise at best.

New rumor: First batch (before September) for the EU, second batch (after September) for ROW. Both without particulate filter. This rumor came from a supplier, so it may not be accurate.

Does someone in the US or ROW who ordered the 991.2 GT3 RS already a confirmed build date before September?

You need to be careful: Similar to the 991.1 GT3 RS, dealers get a certain amount of cars and then a second batch could come (991.1 GT3 RS). So far, the distribution of quotas is only valid until the factory summer vacation, afterwards additional quotas will be available (if there will be cars with particulate filter). So if the dealer tells you no more cars after the summer vacation, he is not correct because he doesn't know (unless he knows that there won't be cars with particulate filter but my dealer said he has no information yet).

^ My dealer does not know - but as he said: "We are the last persons to know whats going on - Porsche wants us to sell what we have - not what we might have later."

What he knows is that he gets very few 991 GT3RS in this batch.

BTW: 60 cars for France: Is that few?

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

Around 6 buyers here in the uk have confirmed slots. And the build month for them is April. Jeep’s, the last of the UK GT3’s are being built alongside these first RS’s then. Think the guys are shocked how quick their RS is happening.

Some over here are also saying no 2nd batch coming. Can’t see that at all.

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

Here we go: One year production time for the 991.2 GT3 RS. Starting in April 2018.

No limitation, only limited by capacity and production time. This is confirmed!!! (no limitation)

Another thing: The new September emissions law does not require particulate filters but many experts say that this new law can only be met with particulate filters, this is why so many people believe that cars need to have particulate filters from September 2018 on. So maybe Porsche found a way without particulate filter, maybe a loophole or whatever.

    Here we go...another rumor.  yes

So if you want one, do not give up just because a dealer tells you there are none available anymore, you could miss your chance.

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

There is a weird lack of clarity around this stuff;  Porsche is asking people to sign contracts and lock builds for cars, and yet is seemingly unable to communicate back answers to basic questions about the specification of these cars.  They ought to be able to tell us if the first batch will have a particulate filter and/or loud button or not??  Disappointing.

Porsche needs to communicate this stuff to their dealers and I kind of have the feeling that they did but dealers are trying to play customers or they really think that customers don't care about details. Just a wild guess though but it wouldn't be the first time.

Hehe, yeah.  When waiting for my GT3, a couple of non-car friends asked what it was like to drive, and I told them I had no idea as there were no test cars - just had to hope it would be good.  They thought I was insane paying so much for such an unknown quantity indecision

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

In the US, dealers will not get their allocations until April with delivery in the fall. This is the same schedule they had last year for the 2GT3. Example; my .2GT3 was to be built in July and delivered in September. That is until they delayed all GT3 deliveries until later in October.

So this could actually confirm the rumor that first batch is for Europe and second batch (same as first batch without particulate filter) is for ROW only. Meaning: Europeans can get their cars until August 2018 and ROW afterwards. Makes actually more sense than the two engine (one with and one without particulate filter) rumor.

Not sure however how many cars Porsche can produce until August, probably not the rumored 1000-2000 (first batch). Second batch was rumored for 3000+.

Too many stupid rumors out there, unbelievable.
