RC,  switching to all PDK makes regulatory sense, but the massive [ugly] center console in the interior pics seems to leave lots of room for a manual.  I'm probably in the minority as I park outdoors in a tight spot, but would love for the whole center console to disappear and for the car to get 15 cm narrower.

Since most other sport car manufacturers have gotten rid of the stupid lever and have not reduce width, that is extremely unlikely to happen smiley

Narrower? Not going to happen. Porsche doesn't have a GT, so the 911 covers GT and sportscar.

Center console lots of room? Well...GT models...special ed. models...maybe some additional touch buttons. Smiley

Turbo could come earlier than in previous new generation model introductions. Not at the same time with the first models, the Carrera and Carrera S though.

They did that already with the 991.  Turbo/Turbo S models for sale along side base models from launch.

    Facelift maybe?

I got basically the first 991.1 Turbo S in Germany (on launch day, a Saturday), delivered through a private transport from the factory (they couldn't get it in time with the normal truck) but this was sometimes in autumn 2013 (I think), while the 991 Carrera models were presented in 2012.

The 992 Carrera is supposed to arrive at German dealers this year (probably around autumn/winter).

Convertibles, a tiny bit later. Turbo is planned for 2020 as far as I heard. Requires a bit more time due to the hybridization (same thing happens to the Carrera as well as far as I heard but on a less advanced level).

I did see last night 3 cars on the Autobahn driving in a convoy. Two 992 and one 718 Spyder. Those cars have been not even half as noisy as the one two weeks ago. But - you see these cars now more often on the street. It's for sure in the wider-test phase now.

A good plastic surgeon doesn't over-do it, you can't really see his job if he is good (and the patient doesn't insist on being esthetically ruined Smiley).

Not sure if its really Robert Mugabi quote: " You cannot give a woman everything she needs. God Himself gave them eyebrows, they shave and draw their own. God gave them nails, they cut it off and fix their own. God gave them hair, they cut it off and fix their own. God gave them breast, they repackage it to what they want. God still gave them buttocks, but they rearrange it to what they want. Then who are you to please them ? 😂😂.  My brother don’t kill your self."

in saudi arabia young girls in their twenties very often have cosmetic surgeries (typically connected with a vacation in beirut or dubai), when they are in their mid thirties and without a husband they get often panic stricken and increase the frequency of visits to the surgeon, with highly questionable results. very sad to see......well, if it wasn't sad it would be comic.

There are some pretty good plastic surgeons out there, have seen amazing work but most of them care more about money than esthetics and they usually do what the women (their patients) demand. Meaning: They overdo everything and you can clearly see their "work".

I remember a friend of my wife, she is now 53. Beautiful woman, saw her the first time at 45 or so and she was still the way nature created her. Then, she had some work done on her face, some corrections on her body as well. At age 48, she looked like 35, unbelievable, very good work, also combined with some smart fitness training. Then, she passed 50. She panicked (she is divorced, doesn't have a boyfriend, she is a bit "difficult"). She had some more work done on her face only and suddenly, you could see it. Not much but a little bit, especially on her lips (a tiny bit too much) and on her forehead. Her body still looks amazing for her age, similar to my wife's (my wife does two hours intensive fitness training per day though, no wonder, she is crazy about this stuff). Smiley

Beautiful woman but if she isn't happy with herself, well... Smiley Most women really do it for themselves and not for others but if they do it for others, they do it for other...women, believe it or not.

Best compliment my wife can get is when another woman tells her how young or good she looks. Smiley

It is also funny when we go to parties or a restaurants or whatever event and my wife always asks me how she looks compared to the other women. Smiley Smiley

One of her friends has black tattoos all over her arms and hands and lips like balloons. I hate how she looks and she is only slightly under 40 and would look beautiful if she didn't have these "modifications". She enjoys her looks but she is also always surprised that the men she meets are always some sort of idiots, the relationships don't last more than a couple of weeks. Well...I wonder why. Smiley Smiley

OK, I think we need to stop discussing plastic surgery in the 992 thread. Back to the R8 discussion. Smiley

8FA63C51-995A-49AB-AD29-B3C7FFB0A0B8.jpeg992 thread?  Lol. My wife has no tattoos but it amazes me how many do.  I dated a few and also those with surgical enhancements.  Single woman in that age range (+45) can be difficult (bat shit crazy) if they are insecure.  Hence my wife simply does her two hour workouts like RC’s and is always chasing the latest excercise fad and diet.  She actually is 35 so you can imagine how she looks.  Cars don’t matter too much to me. I don’t have much energy left. 😁 life is good. (She is also smart with a masters degree in geographic information systems - I am not her sugar daddy).
