Lars997:
I don't understand what should cause the problems with the GLC63. Both - car and engine is existing and solid technology. It just seems that MB is kind of overwhelmed by the amount of orders they receive on 63-models. They sell very well right now and all the engine staff is running over-shifts.
There was a rumor of emissions issues... Car (almost) needed re-certification, which apparently they avoided. I don't have any details, only stupid rumors, sales guy was clueless about it.
Yes, demand for the GLC63 S AMG is extremely high, my sales guy has no more production slots this year. He says it is almost as bad as with the GT R now. Not sure however if he tells the truth (I haven't been in contact with other dealers).
Funny: They had a GT R in the showroom but when I asked, he told me the car is already sold. Then, when I ordered the C63 and the GLC63, he added that if I take a G63 as well (when I showed interest in the G63 as well), I could have that GT R...of course with zero discount. I don't know what this guy thinks I make but he clearly thinks too much. I only enquired about the G63 because he offered a similar lease offer to the GLC and I was undecided which car to take (until I talked to my wife... ).
There is a beautiful green GT R driving around in our city, I don't know the owner though.
Btw: A neighbor of mine is getting a Project One... He asked me if I can get him a GT2 RS but impossible. The local Porsche Centre tried everything possible to get him one.
