Kobalt:bluelines:fritz:PS: Hey, Bluelines, you are falling down on your job. I'm having to write your posts for you.
I did not see the need to point out the obvious
"And that was the day when Mr Bluelines turned subtle."
ECOTY 2015
Sorry, could not resist
2015 981 Cayman GT4 | White | Full Bucket Seats | Sport Chrono
2014 991 Carrera 4S | Dark Blue Metallic | PDK | Sport Chrono | SPASM
Interesting. I believe GT3 was a very similar production (almond st identical) number. New GT4 RHD allocations were given out here a few weeks back (I was offered one but passed the allegations cation to a colleague). I was told total production will exceed 3500 units and possible finish almost 4000 units. So it would seem all variants made in greater volume than the past...

Was in Porsche Leipzig all day. Frist drove the shit out of these GT3RSs, then migrated to Cup cars. Instructors were leading in the GT3RS and are having a hard time staying in front. They basically drove the wheels off these damn cars.
And yet, none of the RSs have the screen removed, and none show any rubbing damage issue.
I guess this proved once and for all that the car is designed properly, that Rennlist guy who destroyed his screens are not using the car properly, and having a improper alignment setup.
Porsche's own world class instructors had no problem with the stock setup/alignment, they loved it, on and off the record, if someone really needs that much extreme alignment, they really need to get proper driving instructions on how to drive a car.
Holy shit, those Cup cars are FUN!!! The limit is so high, I don't think I even got to 75% and I am already having a blast. At first I felt intimated by them, but that feeling is all gone now.
Only 5 people are in the course, 3 of those 918 owners that I knew before, a couple more joined in and one of them actually talked to me about 'Whoopsy' here. But he put 2 and 2 together. He is in my group and is having a blast!

Someone is sounding like a future Cup owner

Whoopsy:Maybe, if I can master the GT4 Club Sport first. One step at a time. A Cup car is no joke for maintenance!
Very true. How did you like the sequential gearbox?

Those Cup cars truly are a revelation. I was lucky enough to take the Cup car experience at Barber Motorsport Park last year and truly found myself to be humbled by these cars. Street cars, no matter their pedigree just can't come close to comparing those dedicated track machines. They're in another league altogether. The way the gear changes take place with those sequential transmissions is just addicting. And you thought those PDK shifts were fun...wait until you try a sequential transmission in those cup cars.
I have a video of my Cup car run at BMP but not online at the moment but I test drove a McLaren GT at Laguna Seca and boy did that car fly!
The Porsche Atlanta facility has driving video modules which simulate driving a Cup car. Certainly not the same but according to Porsche it is as close as you can get short of driving the car. And you're right. It is an incredible experience. The sound of the sequential transmission iT sound so authentic. The track we raced on was the Barber track.
Of little, to make much: That is the dream of a human life.

Brutal shifts , basically happens in real time. Very unlike street cars. It's just bang bang bang up, bang bang bang down. 1st ride out I forgot it's a manual and forgot to upshifts
The auto throttle they stole from the Carrera GT is still a bitch to use, I still can't trust it completely but the moment I touch the throttle the car stalls. And I can't possibly do what the pros do with 'race starts', jam the throttle wide open to get out of the pits, I am not that good.

Whoopsy: You should cancel your Clubsport and buy directly a Cup . You will get there anyway. It will save you a car for nothing This week end , people raced ( real race ) Cayman Clubsport and GT3 RS in the same group . RS is faster ( looses at entry of corner and in the corners, but the power made it up on this track ( Imola ) that is a fast track .
