you may be right, but still, no one did what he did. if others could have done what he did with the same equipment still needs to be proven

Well the commentators on American TV speculated that Hamilton caused the problem to his own car by having that near incident and driving off the track (upset the onboard computers)...

Undoubtely non had. I can not remember a such unconditionaly supported pilot, with all the resources in F1.
BUT, the result is here, a very brilliant pilot, with a brilliant future, and with rookie mistakes. Apart the support Lewis Hamilton has had in his career, you can-t deny , his impeccable *in most cases*, pilotage....
and please, nothing to do with his hours of practice in the simulator!
A simulator is not the real thing!
He has unique conditions, as Alonso Has...as KIMI, The Champion.
The problem is not the pilots, but nasty manovers of much older and richer ones that really try to moove the *circus*

I am a happy man, the sport won.
Kimi deserved this Title! For long ago!
And today, this was a sport, as it used to be when Mansell/Piket/Prost.
Kimi had to wait for six years, but he got it....by the way, his face looks much nicer with a smile than with ice on it. He looked really happy. Beleive me, at home we opened a bottle of Chapaign.
Because the poor spectacle that Maclaren gave this year, only deserves the result they got, an inproper image for a British team. Ferrari, doing less noise got both championships.
I do not want to blame on Hamilton. He is a very good pilot, and he tried everything he could. So did Alonso....but I feel that Mr. Lewis was too supported in his first year. He half lost the championship in China, very possibly because a team mistake, not accurate info about his tyres. And today, sorry, but a nonesense mistake at the beguining.....too much ambition. He should be more cool. I hope he will meditate and learn about what this year hapened. If he does so beyond the ego he has /and yes he has/ we will be, almost for sure a new driving legend.
Alonso did what he could under such circunstances. You are the bi champion of the F1, they contract you, and then, you find an hipocrital enviroment, where everybody wants that the overprotected the rookie wins *including many decissions of the comisars, specially when his car was returned to the track with exterior help*. Well, I hate the crying boo, boo attitudude *sometime saw in Fernando*, but I have very clear that Mr Dennis contracted him to control the enemy, and his winner was Lewis from first.
Well, three great pilots. I would desire a brilliant future for all.
The real looser, and who lost the championship has been Ron Dennis, who did not know how to deal with the situation he created. F1 in every time more and more like a chess figth. And Dennis should also be as astute, and long term thinking, as in Ferrari they are.
And UP with Ferrari and the wise attitude of Jean Todt, by the way, a great backgammon player. In fact, they behaved much more as a coherent team with coherent desitions.
What I do not see clear is the future of Alonso. Any impartial attitude can see how Mr. Ron behaves.
In the other hand, Alonso was not nice with Renault for a *better* team. In the other hand, Renault was mediocre this year......wow!
Who knows....F1 ia as complex as Chess!
Again, congrats Kimi and Ferrari!

Incredibly Byron, I agree with you. Hamilton not winning the championship could be one of the best things to happen for him career wise as he will learn many lessons from it and undoubtedly come back mentally stronger.
Maybe English is not your first language, but I have not heard Hamilton compare himself to Senna. He has said many times how he ADMIRES Senna, which the media have then twisted to say he compares himself to Senna. He would be a fool to directly compare himself to Senna and I have not seen one interview where he has done so. I think he has the potential to develop into that kind of greatness as he has a long career ahead of him and has a much cooler head than most others his age.
Alonso, I'm sorry, but coming third in the championship is exactly what he deserved for all his childish whining behaviour this year. I know you will disagree with me but I'm not looking to start a fight, Alonso has not behaved like a champion in any way this year. If he was more of a man he would have beaten his team-mate on the track. Kimi was also beaten by Massa at the start of the year, yet not once did he ask for No.1 treatment, he simply got the job done. Alonso was actually very sporting in interviews today. If he had behaved like that throughout the season, things would have been very different.
As an aside, several F1 sources are saying Alonso is out of McLaren for sure, it was decided before this race and they want nothing to do with him for next year. I cannot say I'm surprised.

WOW....I never had such a, a, ...creative imagination so to conceive that really unespected point of view like those the American TV commentators....that looks much more for me as the southern America soup series, than to F1.....but, of course anything is possible.....
I doubt it. Hamilton, besides his first mistake, was figting as a lion during all the rest of race, to pick up all those golden few points he needed to be the champion, so IMHO, in that software, mecanical or whatever problem he had he did not provoke it...still, an interesting speculation.....he had no other mechanical nuissance from then in the rest of the the race.....curious, still, too imaginative. I do not think he is type of person that gives up easily
