Dacia Logan Cup car
Dacia, a Romanian car maker and subsidiary of Renault, released a new motorsports derivative named the Logan Cup was developed by Renault Sport Technologies. There will be three kits available; circuit, tarmac rally, and gravel rally trims to bring a racing focused vehicle that is accessible to as many people as possible by keeping the sale price and operating costs of the vehicle as low as possible. This is the most affordable racecar I know of. The circuit trim is easily the cheapest of the three trims because it lacks the additional hardware required for the rally versions but the price very small. There is a catch, the 1.6 liter engine pushes out about 90 horsepower in Cup trim so I wouldn't expect this to overtake any Volkswagen Polo GTi Cup cars at Imola or make huge gains on a Citroen Xsara rally car at Monte' Carlo but for the price, it does not get any better than this.
Speaking of price, the reason why it is affordable is that the majority of the powertrain components are identical to the production car. So if something breaks you can go right down to your Dacia or Renault dealer to order and purchase replacement parts. Talk about handy.
Circuit kit
