    Petit Le Mnas this week-end

    I am surprised that there are not many followers of the ALMS (American Le Mans Series) on this board.
    Hopefully I can turn you guy's on to some awesome sports car racing. the Porsche Spyders will be competing in the P2 class (but with a chance for overall victory) as well as the 997 RSR's in GT2 (difficult race against the F cars)

    I follow this via radio (excellent coverage) and live timing and thoroughly enjoy it.
    hope some of you try it out.

    Hi Mudrocket!
    My favorites are always Spyders!!!
    Seriously; This is going to be very tough. The track suites Audi, so unless it rains I don't think the Spyders will be able to win.
    As for the GT2's, I have a good feeling that the Lizard's will give the Risi Ferrari something to think about! (lets hope)

    No TV coverage in this neck of the woods (although I do get Le Mans total coverage - 24H!)
    I really have a good time following the ALMS championship from my computer. Fantastic!

    Qualy has just finished.

    It's a pity that Live Timing went on the brink.

    Porsche 997 qualified 3rd in GT2. The bright side is that it was only 3 tenths off the pace. It's usually been 0.7 to 1 second slower than the Ferrari 430.

    The Spyder qualified first in P2 and second overall, splitting the two P1 Audi's

    Unfortunately the next track suits the Ferrari's better. (i.e. no long straights)

    Thats True!

    I'm really hoping that the 2008 car is a BIG step froward.
    I don't think I take much more of the 997 being almost a second off the pace of the Ferrari's on some tracks.
