    Re: OFFICIAL: New 991.2 GT3

So many beautiful GT3's being delivered...my luck with an allocation hinges on my dealer getting one more car so I'm not holding out much hope.  I guess that is why PCNA just sent me this care package to remind me what I won't be getting Smiley

If your dealer can't get you one, try another dealer. GT3 is not limited, there are always possibilities.

Because of dealerships and people wanting to flip them, wait list at other dealerships are pretty long.  I did call around some just to check.  My dealer usually gets a couple extra allocations so I'll wait and see.  May be picking up a 2014 GT3 anyway.  The market here is crammed full of them at the moment so prices are coming down.

Talk to PCNA directly, write them a letter (if you are a long time Porsche customer, your chances are better than you think), explain your situation, try to do anything possible to get one (short of paying a premium of course).

    Re: OFFICIAL: New 991.2 GT3

Here in the US the going rate for ADM (adjustment to the market) is between $30,000 to $40,000.

Not too many people got a GT3.2 without paying for an ADM and sometimes what happened is that they pay you a lower price for your trade in and in reality you are still paying for an ADM.

Still waiting to hear from 3 dealerships (and yes I follow up with them about once a month). I've told them that I would be willing pay for a reasonable ADM, up to $15,000 and so far nothing...

Received pictures but the dealer either specced the wrong color wheels, or Porsche fitted the wrong ones. Either way, will wait to share until it is in its intended spec.

What do you expect from greedy dealers? Have you check how much those dealers are asking for GT2RS? Even from long time loyal customers whose ass has already been stretched to a mile wide?

I’m in the same boat. On three different dealer lists since the 997 GT3. Not certain why it is so hard. Been driving these cars all my life. I doubt anyone here has half the miles on them. Never bought one new and this is the reason, can’t ever get the good ones. Plenty of offers for bs non GT cars.  No thanks.

    Re: OFFICIAL: New 991.2 GT3

That is simply the disadvantage of the free market, demand is much more stronger than supply, and nothing can stop the dealers from asking whatever they want. One of the dealers in DC sent me an invitation to a bidding war on two available GT2RS

Thanks Nicks. Made my Christmas. Become a democrat. Lol. Movement from one to the other is only a one way street. Wonder why.

I don’t blame the dealer for not selling to me.  I have bought no new cars at all and I’m certain there are many Nicks out there who would be a better long term profit center.  I would do exactly the same.  I love the free market but I wish Porsche made all 911s with that motor  case closed

    Cheers

Actually for a short moment I considered to let the dealer paint the wheels in the bronze color as below, as it would go nicely with the green, but prefer to just have my factory specced wheels.

    If you compare a GT3 to a Carrera's rideheight it's substantially lower.
