I do not think it's in good taste, Danny. Nick's signature pokes fun of Ferrari and Porsche -- two inanimate objects. Your signature pokes fun at Nick -- a person whom we all know and that's why I dislike the signature. However, if Nick says he is not offended by it and gives you permission to use it, only then should you use it.

I don't want to get in the way of anyone's fun, but I don't think jokes at any member's expense is particularly appropriate. Also, I don't really think it's necessary to poke fun at other marques. I love Ferraris and Porsches, and while I've never met Nick, I find his posts to be entertaining if not always well conceived.

Nothing against Ferari, I love 'em too, or Nick. I guess some things don't look as funny in the light of day. 
I just want to come up with a better sig. than Nick's, and I guess this was a pretty lousy attempt. Oh well, forgive me Nick? Well its gone now. Sometimes theres a little too much testoserone flying around this board, thanks for keeping me in check guys.

Whereas I'm generally in the front line when it comes to robust responses to Nick's less well-reasoned posts, I don't think that "insititutionalised" personal attacks in the form of a sig would have been the right style for rennteam.com.
And when you realise that Nick's sig is just a quote from Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson anyway, you can reassure yourself that it isn't really that hot!

No Nick, no malice, it wasn't even bad, just something I thought of in the middle of the night, that wasn't as clever as I thought in the morning. Anyway I still want to top your sig, but its pretty good. Well, just waiting for your next controversial point to throw the rennteam universe out of allignment

Yes, Jeremy Clarkson... the one who doesn't like Porsche becuase its german (insert here a stupid refferal to WWII), the one who hates sportbikes (like he could even drive one 
besides the fact there is no helmet size for him anyway), the one who turned Top Gear into a funny Jerry Springer car show for the masses after Tiff left, the one who is always blatantly pro-bias towards english makers in the comparos, etc, etc. Using a quote from this guy may have the opposite effect in sport enthusiasts than the one intended
