Can understand his frustration. Could have been a great day for the team....

Hope Vettel is not going to take too much of a hit from this incident...

    Re: f1 fuji japan!!!!

RIP OFF! The fans should receive a refund. Geez, and I thought the USGP 2 years ago was pathetic- how low can they sink?

    Re: f1 fuji japan!!!!

    this year f1 full 100% drama - 0% sport!

    Re: f1 fuji japan!!!!

kimi can closing the gap on alonso now on wdc.

    Re: f1 fuji japan!!!!

I guess they're trying to be like NASCAR.

    Re: f1 fuji japan!!!!

Usually the wet races are the most exciting ones, but today it was just too much IMO and I did not feel any pleasure watching it because of the too great danger for the drivers.

Under theses conditions every driver who finished deserves congratulations, with special mention to Hamilton of course who among the lead drivers did the least mistakes and to Kovaleinen (sp. ?) for having contained Kimi.

Though Hamilton now have the greatest chances to win the championship I don't think it is totally over.

    Re: f1 fuji japan!!!!

Spectacular race, nice on-track action, even in the closing stages (Kimi - Kovalainen, Massa - Kubica). The Japanese TV coverage was horrible but in terms of racing, I don't know what you're all complaining about.

    Re: f1 fuji japan!!!!

Seems that the championship has been decided already. Only a major desaster could prevent Hamilton from beating Alonso now A bitter pill for Alonso

    I quite enjoyed it too.

What is 100% Sport these days anyways?

The drivers out there demonstrated their extreme level of sporting ability so I for one am still comfortable to call it sport.

    Re: f1 fuji japan!!!!

    Who won?

    Re: f1 fuji japan!!!!

    Headline from Crash.net!

    Re: f1 fuji japan!!!!

If this kid (LH) it's taking the championship this year, for sure it's not because of luck. What he did at Fuji was really hard work. Anyone remember how Alonso laped MS on rain? Really Lewis is displaying a level of concentration uncaracteristic for his age.

And for anyone that never had a race on a really wet track with an open cokpit car I can tell you that I was go-karting once (15hp cart), I was on slicks and it started to rain! Oh my God, that was the best race experience that I ever had! Too bad after 5 laps they forced us out because people were all over the place - lol I am still laughing remembering it!

You don't see it at TV but the cars are sliding and struggling for grip at each corner. And you have absolutly no visibility.

My point: maybe it didn't looked to much from outside or from TV but what they did today was really-really hard.

    Re: f1 fuji japan!!!!

Amazing driving of Hamilton! , no matter what happens this guy finishes in the top three! , he got touched with the BMW and nothing happened, not even a scratch!!!!!!

And well thank you "MR"!!!!Vettel....., you literally put Alonso out for the drivers championship , I bet M.Webber is also happy with him , anyway, races are like this.......
I cant understand how by this little errors, and specially with the Mclaren situation, fighting both team pilots for the title, a guy in a fraction of a second who has nothing to do with the title, screws this whole situation untill Brazil, but well this can happen to anybody, there are always this types of risks.....but cammon !!!

Raikkonen really impressed me, both maranello cars where out of the entire race, and Kimi finishes third(nearly second) ....

The only memorable part of the race was in the last curves, the fight of Massa vs Kubica, THAT IS WHAT FORMULA ONE IS ABOUT!!! I LOVED IT!!!! , pure fight, no looking back, both where very agressive!!

Anyway!!!!, now more than everrrr!!........GO KIMI, GOOO!!!!!!

Actually Alonso went out because of aquaplanning, Haug and himself reckoned it after the race and the Spaniard said that his car being damaged by Vettel had nothing to do with it.

    Re: f1 fuji japan!!!!

I agree with Pentium, Hamilton's performance today was superb, I thought Alonso was the best under these circumstances but apparently he is on paar with him.

This year he shows he is very strong in qualification or during the race, on the dry or on the wet, on various circuits, some he doesn't even knows ... as a rookie and against a 2-time world champion.

We clearly have a phenomenom here and he would deserve the title.

    Re: f1 fuji japan!!!!

Hamilton made no mistake today. Well done to him. I am not sure if you guys heard this, but Webber is really ill and he threw up inside his helmet during the first safety car period. For him to then get so close to Hamilton (he was closing on him) meant it was an amazing drive! He could really have won this today.

Yeah I know Alonso's accident happened because of Aquaplanning, therefore this was ONLY his mistake. You are right!
..But the damage of Alonso's car, due to the impact of Vettel really made things worse, you only had to see how bad was the damage, leaving no balance to the car!

In fact if this happened to Hamilton today, instead of Alonso, I cant imagine how press would have handle it, or what Hamilton might have said

Anyway , Hamilton did a great job today, amazing driving

    Re: f1 fuji japan!!!!

Never liked Alonso... glad he went off.
