Stop dreaming. There will be no 'road car' version of the Cup Car, Cup Car MR.
There is already a road going version of the Cup Car, it is called GT3.
Manthey actually already released the package for their 'MR' version of the road going Cup Car, it's the GT3 Manthey Racing mod package which has been posted.
Joost:m4ever, what a wonderful and brave choice for color! You do realize you need to make these awesome old and new pictures of both cars now, do you?
One question; I see the front lip is painted to color, but then the upright part of it right in front of the wheel is still black... will that be painted as well?
Congrats on such an awesome car mate, terrific!
Thanks! Need to find a 964 RS now The front lip is not painted, it was not yet installed as the car was being prepared for delivery.(the factory ships it without the front lip installed).
Joost:Oh dang! I thought you did have one!
Not unfortunately, I have a G Clubsport but not a 964 RS. It is difficult to find one (not a low miles garage queen) at a fair price that has not been crashed. Also quite many being exported to the US as they are now 25 years old+ and can be imported legally there.
My GT3 finally arrived and now will go in storage until March, last picture
nberry:Is that Carmine or Ruby Red?
Neither, it's PTS 82N - Sternrubin (which I think translates to Ruby Star)

Gauss:Amazing! Many kuddos for going with this spec.
Btw are those the satin aluminum wheels, or the standard ones?
Thanks! The wheels are Satin Aluminum , they are very bright difficult to capture on photo. Saw them first time on a 911 R and liked them a lot.
@Mikla , Vantagesc thanks glad you like it. Some sleepless nights when chosing the colors, first world problems I know

The Overlook Hotel The Shining is one of my favorite movies. Your photo didn't look familiar so I googled and found that there is a tv series which I haven't watched.

The hotel is called the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado. It was used as Overlook in Shining (Steven King movie with Jack Nicholson, not the TV Show)

Oh, interesting. Guess the Stanley was where King visited and it inspired the movie only:

I’m really liking the car. I’m able to rev to 7k Now and it is a huge amount better than the original 5k limit.
Steering feel is same as GT4, but I am liking the return to 911 rear engine balance. Looking forward to 400 more miles of brake-in, then my first oil change and then hopefully a track day early 2018 after track is finshed with the new surfacing
I really love this manual gearbox!

DaveGordon:Gauss:There’s also a video online from his friend who came along.
Maybe that’s more bearable to watch
There’s a whole thread about this vid on RL. He gets even less love over there than he gets here
Impossible.

I did like the spec of Schmee's car though. I've wondered about a bright green, and included Gelbgruen as a possibility. I steered more towards Viper in the end, but I'd have taken the platinum wheels, iron brakes and black lights as he did.
