    2008 CBR1000RR

This fresh from the Honda USA homepage. Not exactly pretty from the profile. It looks fair compact and the MotoGP-inspired exhaust is awesome looking. I sense some strong right boot heat issues though...

    Re: 2008 CBR1000RR

    color schemes

    Re: 2008 CBR1000RR

    another color scheme

    Re: 2008 CBR1000RR

    and another

    Re: 2008 CBR1000RR

I have just ordered a black one delivery feb next year.

    Re: 2008 CBR1000RR

the colors I'd likely buy. Chances are the other international markets will have cooler paint schemes.

    Re: 2008 CBR1000RR

The bike looks incredibly compact, almost 600cc like.

    Re: 2008 CBR1000RR

    brand new angle

    Re: 2008 CBR1000RR

    Not too ugly...

Congrats. I'd like to hear about what you think once it comes in. A good friend of mine is a Honda rider. His last two bikes was the original 2004 CBR1000RR and RC51/VTR1000SP2. I wonder he'll think of the new model...

    Re: 2008 CBR1000RR

    Don't they have motorcycle forums?

That's exactly what I was wondering.

    Re: 2008 CBR1000RR

I have found a lot of performance car enthusiasts are also performance motorcycle enthusiasts, after all there is not much on 4 wheels that can match the total exhilaration of a high performance motorbike. This thread is about a 2008 Honda, if you are not interested in it don't read it, simple. Or maybe the mods could put in a Motorcycle section.

I know have a 2005 CBR1000rr and my previous bike was an SP1

    Re: 2008 CBR1000RR

Information and specifications from Motorcycle Daily, which was the same source I used from my ZX-10R, YZF-R125, and Ninja 250R topics. Good stuff.

The tailsection is a lot smaller than before. It reminds me of other current porudction bikes and MotoGP machines. I dig the ram-air portions of the nose cone as well. The integrated turn-signals in the mirrors are not the best looking yet removing the mirrors will definitely clean up the bike's shape and appearance. I am warming up to the bike a lot.

    Re: 2008 CBR1000RR

Looks great... but why can't they come up with some imagination for their wheels?!?! Still the same old crappy 3 spokes...

    Re: 2008 CBR1000RR

You should check Brakko Central Wheel Brake that may allow for greater wheel designs. I came across this at an old issue of Auto and Design and ever since it has stayed with me.

    Brakko official website

Although, I love motorcycles and haved owned far too many, I am wondering the same thing; why so many posts/threads dedicated to motorcycles on a car forum?

Yes, I know that I (we) don't have to read it, but I guess I (we) could easily turn that around and say; you can always post it where it belongs.

Nice bikes though, thanks for the info.

I think its fine , just have it on the Off Topic Board though and fwiw I love bikes..It just feels a bit out of place on this car board , no harm done though imo ....

    Re: 2008 CBR1000RR

Did not expect this to stir a little 'hey this doesn't belong here' type replies. The reason I did not post in the Off Topic Board is that you have to be logged on to see what's going there where as opposed to here it could be viewed without having to be 'signed in'.

I've been a member here since 2003 and wouldn't think it would be an issue.

    Good point.

    Re: 2008 CBR1000RR

The yellow colour scheme looks yummy.

    Re: 2008 CBR1000RR

I love bikes too. No issues with me.

    Re: 2008 CBR1000RR

Love bikes too, when I saw the title I was happy/excited to find out out how it look. However, I also wanted to know what this baby had under the "hood". Man, you should had also put the specs!

PS: I do not see any reason why it would not be allowed to post bikes topics for fellow rennteamers who likes bikes to be informed of new products (like me for example).

    Re: 2008 CBR1000RR

I did post a link for the specs; was the 16th entry of the topic but here you go:Specifications and Information

    Thanks for the support Polo!
