That just shows that there are different issues... the recall was, if I remember correctly, because of the piston/connecting rod/bolt? What has PAG stated as the issue for the increased oil consumption?

I have not heard anything official about the oil consumption.
My RS do not consume any black stuff (except tires), friends RS got a new engine because of oil consumption.
Sounds like an issue with piston rings. AP said something about the RS’s piston rings requiring a proper break-in to seal properly (sounds like Kobalt’s did perfectly).
I think the .2 GT3 has changed Ring design again...
