    while it's great that Porsche stands by its engine, it's not reassuring to have to 2 new engines fitted.

    Ferdie:From what I understand they keep improving the engines over time, so the third one should be better than the second than the first... Smiley

    The finger follower issue seems to be solved by changing cams and finger followers. At least that is what PAG claims.

     Throt, watch out htere are some hidden cameras on the M40 now especially near Beaconsfield  Smiley

    That just shows that there are different issues... the recall was, if I remember correctly, because of the piston/connecting rod/bolt? What has PAG stated as the issue for the increased oil consumption?

    Don’t think they really know. My engine is going back to Germany for further investigation yes

    I have not heard anything official about the oil consumption.
    My RS do not consume any black stuff (except tires), friends RS got a new engine because of oil consumption.

    Sounds like an issue with piston rings.  AP said something about the RS’s piston rings requiring a proper break-in to seal properly (sounds like Kobalt’s did perfectly).

    I think the .2 GT3 has changed Ring design again...
