Innovation from Manthey-Racing on show in Essen
A very special highlight awaits the visitors to the Essen Motor Show. From 2nd to 10th December, Manthey-Racing will be presenting the new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR at Stand A101 in Hall 3. The race car is based on the newest generation of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and can compete in endurance racing from next year onwards. The previous model provided the famous company with a class win at the Nürburgring 24-hour race. The team from Meuspath will also present the SRO homologation model GT4 Clubsport MR with a lightweight construction package developed for the upcoming season that includes components such as wings and bumpers made from carbon fibre.
Manthey-Racing GmbH will introduce the new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR at an 11am press conference during the Preview Day on 1st December. Employees from the motorsport company from Meuspath in Rheinland-Palatinate will then be on hand to answer questions for nine days during the 50th Essen Motor Show, the largest platform in Europe for sporting cars. In addition to the presentation of the new car, the company will also be showing ready-to-race products at the trade event. The “R-Equipment” includes upgrade kits for various cars, pit lane accessories right up to a drinks system for competitive racing.
For club racing customers, Manthey-Racing will be showing the Porsche GT3 MR, which is based on the Porsche 991.2 GT3. The company is based at the Nürburgring and has optimised the MR derivate specially for use in tourist runs and track day events. At the stand for the Manthey-Racing technology partner KW Automotive (Hall 3, Stand B165), visitors can also take a look at another road model with MR-specific additions – the Porsche 911 GT3 RS MR caused a stir when setting a new lap record on the Nürburgring Nordschleife and at the Hockenheimring during testing for “Sport Auto” magazine.
Manthey-Racing GmbH is a company with more than one hundred employees. Manthey-Racing came to international attention thanks to its activities in the VLN Endurance Championship Nürburgring, the WEC sports car world championship and other racing events. The company has been responsible for running GT works competition for Porsche Motorsport since 2013. The company is also known for organising the VLN class Cayman GT4 Trophy by Manthey-Racing and for circuit-specific preparation of street-legal cars. The Porsche AG holds 51 percent of the shares in Manthey-Racing GmbH, which is run by the brothers Nicolas and Martin Raeder.
