    997 options list and prices

    hello all, this is my first post
    quick question, how indicative are these prices to what we should expect here in the UK because if my maths is correct, EUR 64,700 converts to just Pounds38,820!!

    i have heard that UK buyers should expect baseline prices of Pounds58,000, how could porsche justify a Pounds20.000 mark up?

    Wouldnt importing a car be alot lot cheaper?

    Prices in the UK always seem far higher than in Germany or USA. I think there may be some taxes in there that account for much of the difference

    yeh, keep dreaming on those sub Pounds40k prices! or move to the US.

    uk tax is what makes the prices sky high.

    Pounds58,380 for the carrera
    Pounds65,000 for the S

    this country and its taxes!!

    how feasible would it be to import a RHD UK spec model from mainland europe?
    i have done it with an Audi TT and a BMW 330 both incurred a decent saving.

    The prices are in Euro without tax!!!

    And if the UK doesn't want to join the monetary union, it isn't Porsche's fault. Porsche tries to establish the same Euro prices (without tax) in all Euro zone countries.

    The base price, incl. tax, of a 997 Carrera S in Norway is Pounds108.000 ( Euro 162.000)

    Only Denmark and Singapore have more expensive cars than we do...

    agreed. and now we have just gone out of euro 2004 i shall be whinging a lot more

    The prices not including tax wouldnt matter if you are importing the car OUT OF the country. You would only have to pay the taxes of the country you are importing the car too...
