Thanks to all of you for your replies. Any idea on when the turbo version will be presented??

Turbo is planned earlier as far as I heard (usually a year or so after the Carrera models) but the new hybrid tech could give them some headache. Smiley

Next week i must know something more about the GT3RS MK2,finger crossed.

regarding the 992 i have this info,delaied to February 2019,due there is a delay in all Porsche range production caused from a supplier.

some 991 models will be build till 2019(till 992) with some “ecological” mods...(can’t tell more)

Macan restyling delayed to december 2018.

Cayenne Diesel 3.0L 300hp,in mid 2018.

RC - Porsche Club of America magazine article indicated 992 Carrera and Carrera S would be launched at the 2018 LA Auto Show which occurs in late November or early December.

Are you referring to Carreras or does that include GT's ?

But maybe something is coming , my dealer send me this week a message as a reply to my good birthday wishes saying : looking forward to a dinner and to spec your RS .

I'm hoping for hybrid tech to be incorporated to the turbocharging to help eliminate some of the disadvantages of Turbo engines like throttle responsiveness... and eventually even bring back the sound and character of NA engines to the sportier models (like GT cars) by combining them with fuel and emissions saving hybrid tech like the 918... one can only dream broken heart

So you are 100% sure there will not be some kind of a limited last production GT3 RS ?

And the 992 GT NA could then be some sort of RSR for the street ? Would make sense and would be fantastic . ( But I would of thought they would do this in a last 991.2 model )

I don't see why they would not.

Exactly, it makes no sense to stop production long before . Only problem could be the pollution rules but they'll find a way around it . The exact same was said for 991.1 RS before the launch .

they are facing hard time because of the emission laws but I got confirmation than GT3RS will go up to end of october.

I was concerned on exporting back the car when I leave this place. GCC cars are euro based and needs a few tricks to get back to euro spec but for this to be possible, you need a car produced with the euro homologation. they confirmed euro spec will all stop at the same time.

I was going to ask the same. It would be a surprise if not. However, due to the short run of the GT3 RS and the strict emission rules, I can see why.

This makes total sense since the Speedster is after all and opentop, so it will be based on the GTS/Carrera and not on the GT3.

The Speedster will have a GT engine , this is a quite well known fact among Porsche collectors . As such it will be a very special car. In a way history repeats as when Porsche offered the 356 Speedster Carreras which had the racing 4 cam engines .
