GT, those tips are the oval 88mm tips from cargraphic. I'm not sure if they're compatible with the stock muffler system but it's worth a try to ask Greg about that. Email him at sales@roadsportsupply.com and tell him I sent you. I also highly doubt that you'd be able to minimize the noise with a 100/200 cat system.

    Hi Jason,
The modification of the stock exhaust with 200 cells worked. The noise is almost same as stock to the point that.. I may want some more! Car has only 2500kms so am waiting to see if there's more to come. In terms of power it should be ok since the car got 601hp with a stage 3 tuning kit while the exact same kit with a sports muffler does not get much more than that. I love your rims, are they lighter than the stock ones?

    Amazing shots Jason!

If I end up with a cobalt Turbo at Christmas then there may be little point in me posting pics of it given they will almost certainly pale against yours.

I want to thank you though for providing such a great insight; choosing colours/options has been a hard and lengthy process. Your extensive array of pics have certainly be invaluable.

The 'blue turbo' is Jason's (atomic80) and they are GT3 RS wheels on there...

    Congrats Jason!!

3rd though?! They are having a laugh surely. Surely if the 'people' had the choice of which car keys to take away with them then you would be first prize no-brainer!!

Re: Artistic portrayal of my Cobalt 997TT

any pics of the 1st & 2nd place cars?

Re: Artistic portrayal of my Cobalt 997TT

First Place was a black Carrera GT. Pretty tough to be beat that.

I was going to add 'unless a CGT/997GT2/TTCab made an appearance'. I didn't think that would be likey though..

Actually that car won 2nd place. First place was a beautiful 356 (I think) Speedster.

I didn't take a picture of the whole car. I know I should have!

    2nd place Carrera GT

    Beautiful Ascot interior

And the winner of the Kirkland Concours "Best of Show" was this absolutely gorgeous Lago SS from the Nethercutt Collection. Talk about sex on wheels!

Re: Artistic portrayal of my Cobalt 997TT

For me at least, with the Lago, shave the chrome bumpers, 35% tint on the windows, slap a turbo/supercharger on the engine and some 19-20in rims and it will be perfect

btw, how in the world can your car come in 3rd not first? The CGT is just too pedestrian and the Lago is just so, how do I say, 20s?

Re: Artistic portrayal of my Cobalt 997TT

have you put the stock exhaust back?

I've my TT cobalt too, as soon as I have made photo I'll publish someone hete.

Re: Artistic portrayal of my Cobalt 997TT

you deserve first place what a car and that e39 m5 is wonderful its a work of art

Re: Artistic portrayal of my Cobalt 997TT

Hahaha...Nick, I can almost picture the horror of Jack's face as you go about in slapping those things on the Lago. Actually, if you read what I said closely, you'll see that it was the 356 Speedster that won 1st place. There were two completely separate shows. One for the Kirkland Concours which the Lago SS won "Best of Show" as well as 1st place in its class, etc. I won 3rd place, People's choice in the PCA club show.

thatanos, I still have the cargraphic exhaust system on my car, just changed back to the stock tips.

V10_BOOST, are you on m5board.com as well?

Re: Artistic portrayal of my Cobalt 997TT

Congrats Jason! But you should know it is almost unforgivable to not have made pics of the whole 356!
    -Joost-

Edit: Only saw a 356 "in the wild" a couple of times. Best memory was when on holiday trip to germany, when I saw an old man in a silver 356. We talked a little, and I asked him how he dared park it on the streets with the hood down and everything. He smiled and said "es gibt einen alarmanlage" (There's an alarm), and he whistled. A big mean dog popped up from the passengers' footwell

Re: Artistic portrayal of my Cobalt 997TT

I did take a picture of this classic Porsche which was used in a Hillclimb back in the 1950s

And of course another 356 so am I forgived?

And yet another on the move

    And even a red one

Just not that blue one that won first place.
