    BMW M5 Twin Turbo?

    Where will it all end

    I doubt that M will use twin-turbos or kompressor... that would be a conflict of their principles.

    A M5 MKII is confirmed for next year, likely around 540hp...furthermore I could imagine a kind of M5 CSL... with lower weight and more capacity (5.5L) more power and torque is feasible. Lets hope for it!

    Hmm Rs6 makes a V10 twin Turbo 580 hp but only 650nm . Isnt that sound weird??? I mean the torque seems low.

    Anyway i also doubt M5 would use a non NA engine

    If it has 650 Nm at 5000 rpm, then no, it sounds just right .

    RS6 offers way more torque then 997 Turbo for example. It is probably the best bi-turbo engine of all times... Only problem is that RS6 Avant is not the right car for this engine and TIP is not the right gearbox...

    Imagine R10-580hp/650Nm/7speed S-Tronic/345kmh...

    My 335d has almost as much torque - so a twin Turbo V10 should be far higher!

    Anyway - I dont believe a new engine. I think this is kind a CSL - lighter, a bit more HP but not a Turbo Kompressor on anything else on top

    ....sincerely doubt they turbo it; doesnt fit the engines design of super high RPM; i think itd more likely go to 5.5 liters or something first...

    The torque output is limited.It has 650Nm from 1500rpm to 5000 something rpm.

    It probably has 200Nm more than other engines at low rpm.

    M5 MK II? Doesnt sound right as the 08 minor facelift and makeover was only released this summer. Do you mean a new M5 goes on sale next year? Like I said, doesnt sound right in view of BMW's usual mid-life model upgrade having just being rolled out.
