Gnil:The black ones do hide a bit too much the shape, specially on photos . But actually in real life I find that the different light often gives them quite some depth that is not shown on pics . The other thing for me is that I do not wash my cars too seriously, so having a rim that hides the brake dust is welcome .
Agree totally!
Josef:Gnil:Porker:What's the consensus on wheel color for these bright colored GT3's? Back in 997 RS days I was convinced it should always be black, but I feel now that trend is a bit dated, and it hides the design of the wheel.
I am puzzled about it . I want to move away from black rims , but I can't really embrase the silver ones . I like them when I first see them , for a short while, and then I slowly I find them to be pretty dull and make the 911 look too ' elegant ' and it even clashes as there is often no other silver part on the car . Gives it also some king of an older look .

That is why one should go with Platinum, best of both worlds
Agree with all of this, I think silver may make a come back but not yet it doesn't look right. I do still like black but agree with the points made and I too have been thinking about Platinum as being a good compromise, and those GT3 wheels do look very sexy in platinum.

It all depends on the exterior color of the car on whether black wheels are apropriate. Platinum wheels work with some colors and not with others. I had them on my .1 white and they always looked dirty.
i have black wheels on my GR .2 with the GR strip around the wheel and I get many compliments on the color scheme.

I recall you boasting at the Nordschleife how your pads didn't create any brake dust, only to return with a black finger when trying to prove it.

But since I have these black rims I don't see any brake dust , must be the pads , promise !

No, seriously...Voodoo is a bit too much in my opinion, even for a special car like the GT3 RS. It would fit a Huracan or an Aventador better.

Black looks surprisingly good, would've never thought...

I could not agree more. You might as well put a paper bag over the car.

noone1:I wouldn't go plain black if I could PTS. You can get tons of colors in really dark hues that are essentially black, but still have some really nice color in the right light. Really dark reds, blues, or black with colored metallic flake etc.
we share the same taste in colours..

There’s a whole thread about GT3 graphite blue metallic over on RL. Seems to be gaining some popularity now.. That pic doesn’t really look like GBM though..
I drove a car in this colour a while back - looks more like this in daylight IMO:

Gauss:Are you sure, Joost? It looks too dark, but maybe it's the lighting
Agree - I would have guessed Agate Gray

Yep looks like Agate. Had it on the Macan but quickly got bored of the color.
It's my least favorite amongst all GT3 colors.
I think it is graphite, just in dark lighting and a bad photo... Haven't seen any PTS cars delivered yet.

Yes, the entire picture is very dark. Agate should have more metallic reflections as well.
To be honest, I never considered that Graphite is metallic, not a flat color. To me, it has very little reflection in it.
