    Notice the effective use of crumple zones. I'm not sure this is a TT, maybe a NA 911 - I couldn't see any air intakes on the sides, diff wheels, etc. Still, kinda silly if you ask me.

    I think it was a pre-production Carrera (that would have been earmarked for the crusher, anyway). Regardless, to play that off as art is an atrocity and a farce.

    A 911 is sculpture as soon as it rolls off the line in Zuffenhausen.

    Interesting, when being pushed from front to back, it's the back of the car giving way first, the front section pretty much stay intact until the rear end is finished crumbling.

    The Austrian said, that it is an "Erlkönig" - some kind of prototype or pretest vehicle. Porsche would have shredd it anyway

    And it's not an 997TT.

    He want's to show something about the flow of the time and fugacity of all things around

    Exactly, if you actually study the artist's work, it's critical response, the movement is it a part of, the general history of European and American Modernism it gets your brain going even more.


    There's lots of camps too, it can be "cultish" or of limited regional importance too. There're all sorts of schools of thinking art and making art.

    It is not the first time an artist chose a very controversial or painful route to display his intentions. The movie actually made me cringe, primarily because it is quite opposite to the common way of presenting an emotional item nowadays, e.g. an expensive sportscar.

    Why do you think it is a turbo? Does not have the LEDs on the front, no spoiler on rear, no intakes on the side, and has the lobster wheels. Looks like a Carrera S to me.

    Funny that Porsche _mentions_ it but never really shows it in their advertising. This video should be placed in "Wallpapers and Media" section of their website. Could make a good marketing point that even when your Porsche has reached the end of it's road you can still keep it with you always as a coffee table.

    It def. is pre-production. No Crest on the hood or steering wheel.

    Still disgusting to watch. But I have to say if I saw it in an art gallery I would be upset but intrigued as well.

    I think the bottle contains the car's fluids: oil (dark) and the coolant (pink). Certainly when one crushes closed systems the containment breaks, hence fluid loss. I would think that the artist drained the fluids prior to the crushing.

    Probably a metaphor for blood and oil which is current Mideast situation. So we got: blood, oil, Germany, Luxury, destruction by intentional horrible mangle-ation, yeah..., yeah..., .

    Gee..., I guess it's time to read what the critics are saying about this artist AND look at more of his work.
