Seen on rennlist by Dave member :
" I plan to update this in my Euro Delivery post, but today (November 7th) while on my Zuffenhausen Factory delivery, I was able to witness (Sorry no pics allowed) the GT3RS Engine! It was in the assembly align, with a very clear printed paper on top of the intake manifold, that stated:
991 II GT3RS
The new .2 GT3RS motor is definitely normally aspirated. What was odd... is it had a 'spec/bar code' sheet, with smaller writing on that paper... and it showed 357KW and 450 Nm? Which doesn't seem to make any sense, so not much help, I also looked for 'any displacement' clues... and couildn't see anything. I was hoping to find a 4.0 or 4.2 somewhere, but that was listed nowhere.
I was able to compare the new GT3 RS motor to the previous 3.8 GT3 engine, that they have on display. The Throttle body looked like it could be slightly larger (was tough to tell... as it was also extremely shiny) and the exhaust manifolds/headers... might have been slightly larger... not super noticeable... so again... from a couple feet away... I wasn't able to see any noticeable part differences on the motor... but they are clearly identifying it as different.
Also, since the motor for the GT3RS was about ready to be installed, the tour guide said it's roughly 1 hour from where we saw the motor, to marriage to the car... unfortunately this meant we were unable to go down to the first floor and see the Porsche's final completion as a 'project car' was going through the assembly. Which was most assuredly the new GT3RS!
So, this car will be debuted very shortly I'd say! "

DaveGordon:Hm.. 357kW = 485PS. So less than the current GT3. GT4RS motor?
Look forward to the 3RS unveil.. just got to try and snag one.
It is possible that this was a test motor and they just had a dyno test with these power values...
The 991.2 GT3 RS definitely has more than 500 hp...

Difficult to be conclusive on stuff like this, even though the OP's intentions are good we are missing crucial facts.
RC,
Do you have any insights regarding HP for 991.2 RS ?
I'm #1 on my PZ to get the RS, and they will take back my 991.2 GT3. But will it worth it ??
I do 20% track, and mainly road driving. May be it is not worth changing. Except if we think this will be a real collector.
Im currently thinking both GT3 and RS991.2 would be. As last Saugmotor. But who knows with them ?
What s your thinking ?
Thanks !

PS : any willingness for a rennteam gathering event spring next year ? Would be great to share some spirited roads somewhere in Bavaria !! :-)
997 Carrera S Triple Black Sold now ... Good car 997 GT3 triple black wow what a car !!!
thierry:RC,

520-540 hp...550 hp (as someone suggested here) very very unlikely. Straight line, the difference (vs. 991.2 GT3) won't be that noticeable I'm afraid.

Rumored price tag will be around 195k EUR in Germany.

Car will look more special than GT3, no doubt.

Possible but RS version will be of course the most desirable one.
What s your thinking ?
See above.
Thanks !

Good idea but not easy...(at least for me).

RC:noone1:The GT3 RS looks the same as a GT2 RS?
Same? Not. Similar? Maybe (to the untrained eye).
fact is a 911 with a big wing ist still what it is .... just a 911 with a big wing. a bit of detail like a black plastic part here and there does not make a real difference, even to the trained eye.
