Would anybody know if the stock 997 GT3 wheel fit ; a 997 carrera or 997 C2S. If not what can you do to make them fit. Thankyou for your input.

Hi,
were you able to put 997 gt3 wheels on the C2S? any issues ?
Quote:Cast wheels are usually heavier than forged plus the GT3 wheels are bigger (more mass) - 8.5 v. 8.0 and 12.0 v. 11.0

The GT3 wheels and tires add 26lbs! Wow! If anything you would have thought it would have been the same, less, or maybe just slightly more.

I didn't know the GT3's wheels were cast.
That's odd. Usually forging (or milling) yields a stronger, lighter well.
There's nothing overly complex about the shape. I wonder why Porsche decided to cast the wheels.
