    Carbon fiber sunroof for GT3?

    Does anyone know if someone is working on a replacement CF sunroof for the 997 GT3?

    I would like to see the glass and possibly the liner replaced with a CF unit, while retaining the funtionality of the sunroof. Potential increase in noise level will not be a factor for me.

    I have not taken delivery yet, so I can't comment on the mechanincs involved on such a replacment. Thank you.

    You could maybe buy a Euro GT3 without sunroof, and add this cheeky little number - link ?

    The sunroof is not glass. At lease on my 2006 997 C2S it's body colored painted steel. I imagine most of the weight is in the mechanism itself. I suppose carbon fiber or aluminum will save some weight over the steel panel but not by much.
