    Lemoning Cayenne Turbo: Process has Begun

    Yesterday I contacted PCNA and informed them about my situation. My Cayenne Turbo has been in the shop since May 17th (out on May 20th, then in again on May 24th and hasn't been out since) with no sign of a fix for the problems in sight.

    The PCNA representative was very nice and easy to deal with, I explained all of the problems I've encountered and told him that I'm not unhappy with Porsche (this is my 5th) and I would like to continue to own a Cayenne. I requested at this point that a new car be furnished rather than pursuing legal action through NC lemon law. I should be hearing back from PCNA within 72 hours.

    We'll see what happens...

    I went to the dealer today, Porsche called them first thing in the morning in response to my phone call.

    Porsche has offered to pay one month's payment on my Turbo, but I'm not going to accept until I have the car back and it's in perfect working condition.

    Supposedly the only problems that remain on the car now is that the instrument cluster has a display issue and the passenger mirror no longer dips in reverse, both of which are not problems that were present when I had the car.

    I should have more information tomorrow.

    1 months payment?

    thats an insult considering all the problems

    lemon that sucker and get a new one, go to another dealer if you must.

    Not sure about NC lemon law, but aside from them keeping the car for a long time, isn't there a clause about recurring problems (say 3 attempts to fix a problem/problems), or can you base it on the time in the shop as well? Curious....

    Porsche should be providing you with a new car and some sort of compensation too and without you chaising them (as it seems). I am suprised why your dealer wouldnt do it (providing you a new car and some compensation) and then figuring it out with the Porsche HQ.

    I would suggest you to get advise from a lawyer. For the Porsche cars tag price I am reallly suprised to hear about the treatment you are getting...

    How about we start petition for you from here, all Cayenne owners? I have Cayenne S and I care about your situation. You could find out an email address of the guy in Porsche (USA) you are talking with and post it here so we all will be able to send him an email with our thoughts! Let show that Rennteam has a real power and help a fellow Porsche owner :-)

    Excuse my ignorance...
    What exactly is lemoning? And what have been the probs with your cayenne?
    Bad to hear that it was in the shop for so often/long. All the best!
