    The problem is getting a GT3 in the first place.  I wish they simply made one engine and out it in all 911s. That engine is the only thing worth the price of admission. A 911 without the GT3 motor is a waste of time and money.

    Agreed! More true today than ever before. The GT3 engine is the minimum. However, the looks of the .1 RS still would make it hard to pick the GT3 over it. In other countries, such as my home country, the GT3 is not hard to get. There are already 3 new ones for sale at MSRP! The .1 GT3RS is even cheaper!!!

    And the F12s are sold for the same price. Hence my dilemma, .2GT3 TP, .1GT3RS, or F12. I know they are all different but I really like them all.

    Sun's Kiwi GT3.2 is actually well less than MSRP, but Kiwi MSRP is pretty high compared to say, USA

    Permit me to correct AP911, GT3.2 in UAE market on sale at the moment are not at MSRP but at good mark-up, around $20-25K.

    For GT3RS.1,  all the cars (8 at the moment) are still way higher than MSRP but they are not moving at all and some of them are collecting dust with delivery miles since almost 2 years. The market is slightly flattening but it is still overpriced and only cars moving are the one going at MSRP or below now.

    Greedy flippers missed the boat. So many cars in the US were sitting at like $250-275K for a long time and I think some still are. It's funny because most of the specs are identical, and you'll see one guy advertising a purple car for $30K more than the exact same purple car.

    Yes that's the way they operate. They put it on the market for $10-20k above what they would like to sell it for because negotiations are the norm. So if you call them they would give you a power price and then you could negotiate even lower. The GT3RS have been on sale for a long time and no one is buying them, they even started at 250k but now you could get it for 180k . But even selling them at MSRP is a profit for many as you may know many do get discounts from Porsche. I currently do get a 10% discount on all Porsche models sold in the UAE.

    discount on GT cars? I have a doubt on this.

    the rest of the range no issue, it is easy to get a discount but GT cars...

    It is takes a fair amount of prolonged spirited driving to get the original Cup 2's up to full operating temperature, such that the difference in stickiness between the new and old versions of these tires probably isn't realizable while taking a few isolated turns quickly in normal driving.  Particularly on the street.

    But everything else sounds like a welcome step up!

    As I get it PTS is a list of approved colors to choose from. So it is not really Paint To Sample.

    You can do either. It’s just that if it’s not already approved then you have a lengthy feasibility process to go through, which could easily end up in a ‘no’ for various reasons.

    There are some Ferrari and Lamborghini colours on the approved list. Not sure about complex/exotic stuff though - imagine anything is possible if you have the $$$

    And the time!  It is a long process to have Porsche approve a new color.  Supposedly some colors won't work with some models (materials incompatibility or some excuse).  In fact, quite a few colors that are approved on some models are specifically refused for other models.  Weird...
