I see a rebadged, uglier 350Z in that picture...
There is definitely a niche for a large engined (v8-v10) front engined 2+2 coupe, direct competition for the Ferrari 599/Aston DB9
There is probably also room for a proper boxster/smaller cgt, mabye in a few years when the CGT is 'dated'.
can't wait for the NEXT supercar they come up with... 2015!!!

Re: The next model - Panamera Coupe
IMO styling is a minor issue for any cleverly engineered, innovative car...
599 is fugly, but don't know a single owner/driver of 599 (of 4-5 599 owners who are colleagues of mine) who can't look past its fugliness (and weak passive safety) after becoming addicted to its tech innovations (esp latest F1 tranny and advanced chassis)/perf/precision/utility....
Problem for P is that its lack of tech advances (esp PDK, solving turbo lag, charismatic exhaust note, etc) will mean buyers will need to rely more on good looks of car to justify purchase.....and, given Panam is still some 2 yrs away, I suspect latest/greatest F/AMG competing models will be moving targets w/further innovations in chassis tech; lighter materials; useable tq; fast/smooth paddleshifter trannies, etc....
